a 1998 Lincoln navigator with normal mileage for a car of it's age (155K Miles), in excellent condition has a value $2,628 according to KBB.com. My god this kid is loaded rich, must be getting paid

Maybe so, but where did you pull the 1998 part from?

Sent from my phone.

Re: WR Dorial Beckham-Green suspended

That's the first thing that I said. Wish I could afford one.

Are his parents wealthy or is this how Mizzou was able to recruit him?
Yes, his adoptive parents are comfortable and can afford a used car or a new one for their son. :)

all I read was Lincoln navigator, never saw the year. I just hate when everyone always thinks all athletes everywhere but here are getting paid. As redstar points out it was a 2004 so here you go. What that car is worth in Columbia, MO

It makes us as a fanbase look petty when someone clicks on this thread and see's us complaining about the car of a recruit we missed out on. Especially when that car is a 2004 model Lincoln Navigator, that probably cost no more than $15,000.
And to think Bama fans laughed at the Aubs for talking about Julio driving an Escalade without mentioning the model year.

If I had a full ride to college, my parents would have gotten me a nice car. Why do folks immediately act as though a college athlete can't have the same?

I'm just glad he did not chose the hat with the A on it.
I don't know about that... We might have coached him up.
He has speed and skills.

I just hope he doesn't put together a complete game against us.
I shudder when I remember the one great game that Stephen Garcia played against us... :(

Oh the ever present arrest for pot possession. Just legalize it and get it over with. Tons and tons of college kids are and have been smoking pot for generations. It says more about their youth than it does about their character. It is not a PED for goodness sake.

A new Camry is 3-4 times as much.

Is anybody else having a hard time with the MO thing. I here stories about MO and I just can't make myself care. I just don't feel like they are relevant. A&M on the other hand is different.

I'd take Amari Cooper over him easily at this point in their careers.
Yep, and it's not even close. Cooper did more in the first half against Ole Miss than DGB has done all year, even before the arrest. DGB might have better long-term upside, but the short-term comparison is not even close.

It could always change moving forward, but to date I haven't been very impressed with DGB. He reminds me a lot of Marcus Monk, which isn't necessarily a good thing. He'll be a fine player and catch a lot of balls in time, but he's not very physical despite the big frame, and he is so lanky that he has such a long stride that he can't really run past people because it takes him a while to really open up.

In time I think he'll learn to use his frame better and be a more productive player in the short-to-intermmediate game, but for the most part I tend to think that in hindsight people will consider to have been pretty overrated coming out of high school. He was hyped to the next in the line of Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones, and based on the early returns I don't see that at all. I see someone like Marcus Monk or Terrance Toliver.
