Re: DT Matt Elam Updates (Announcing Thursday, January 30th)
Correct me if I am wrong here but I believe that Elam is the man of his house where he lives with his mom and sister. The fringe benefits of being a rock star recruit definitely helps them all quite a bit if he stays in state. The point is that everyone has different priorities and perceptions and that is especially true for a teenager. Again, I don't feel that the kid can go wrong either way and I really do wish him the best of luck with whatever he decides.I can understand the pressure of staying in your home state, but c'mon this is Kentucky football, not Kentucky basketball. This kid needs to think about his future and not worrying about trying to please his hometown. If his eyes are definitely focusing on the NFL, then he has a much greater chance at Bama as the coaches will give him the preparation he needs to get to the next level. He'd be crazy not to roll with the Tide.....
