I have met some Iowa fans and all have been class acts. They love their coach and know football. Find myself actually pulling for the Hawkeyes in this game for that very reason. Pavia is such a tool.
As the sample size grows I think it becomes more significant. Seems like I remember for most of the last 20 years or so the national champion’s conference usually did really well in the postseason. I’m at work and can’t research it, but I also don’t remember too many national champions that came from conferences with poor-performing bowl teams. Things have changed with the bowl season so maybe it’s not a thing anymore (if it ever was — my memory sucks). I see this as a bad omen, but as long as the good guys win I don’t really care.Really? We are discussing strength of conferences by their bowl record? After teams have been off a month, teams have opt outs, etc. here are up to date conference vs conference records so far this season . Even with the horrid SEC Bowl performances, still a decent overall record this season
