McClain was dropped from the Rivals Top 100 when they revised their list a few weeks ago.

How in the world Scout.com has McClain ranked the # 8 OT, higher than both Love # 9, and Jones # 15, I will never know. Their rankings which always seem to have Bama ranked lower than Rivals is just one of the many things that make me scratch my head about Scout.com.

Rivals.com seem to have their Offensive Tackles ranked more in line with the Bama coaches thinking with the exception of Cordy Glenn being ranked # 21. Love is the # 6 ranked OT, Jones is # 9, and McClain is # 16.

Matt Patchan is something to see. He is quite the athlete that will make some team really happy when he commits. Right now it looks like Florida, Miami and LSU are the teams with the best shots.

John Michael Boswell - 6'6"
Tyler Love - 6'7"

All of them in the 270 to 290 weight range.

We are definitely going to need a taller QB.

On the situation unfolding with the rest of the class: I get that Glenn is #1 on the board, but if that's largely because McClain's academics then why not just secure his loyatly and place him in Prep School or JUCO for next year (or the year after)?

Tennessee and Barrett Jones. ut fan talk was he was in at UT after a visit for the GA vs ut game. He said that was the best ut had played all year. Another sign he wasn't going to ut.

He made a comment that left not doubt where he would committ:

Jones has long said he’ll choose a school that can compete to win championships.

“It’s definitely important,” Jones said. “I definitely want to win and compete at an elite level. I feel like Tennessee can definitely give me that. They have a great tradition of excellence.”

He meant to say Alabama.
