I hope Coach Saban is paying attention.

Just found out that Neal's 8 TD passes last night tied the Arkansas state record for TD passes in a game.

Burcham just continues to get better. And he was already better than real good. His accuracy is off the charts, whether it be throwing long or threading the needles.
Thought it was you....you gave every description possible except for his name. lol

Obviously CNS is paying attention since he has already expressed an interest in Burcham prior to the Elite 11. That was prior to Alec Morris commiting to Bama. I just don't think Bama will have room for Burcham in this class. There are only six spots or so left and a whole lot of very talented prospects at other positions of need to fit in those slots. I think Bama is done at QB unless something changes with commit Alec Morris, and I don't see that happening. I wish Burcham the best.

Tonight against Alma, Neal has left the game late in the 3rd quarter, along with the rest of the 1st team, with a 49-3 lead over Alma (AR) (6-1 and 4-0 in conference play).

Burcham threw for 190 yards in the 1st quarter alone, going a perfect 11 for 11, with two TD passes, and he rushed for another.

Burcham finished 18 of 26 for 373 yards, 4 TD passes, 1 rushing TD, and no interceptions.

Greenbrier goes to 8-0 on the season, and now readies for the 5A West showdown, (and Hooten's Magazine, Arkansas high school game of the week), with the multiple time class 5A state champs, undefeated also at 8-0, and defending state champs too, Greenwood, Ar. Arkansas Razorback starting QB, Tyler Wilson, is a Greenwood graduate. Greenbrier has been conference mates with Greenwood for 7 years, and have never beaten Greenwood.

Tonight's Alma vs. Greenbrier game was also Hooten's Magazine, Arkansas high school game of the week, giving the Panthers back to back game of the week honors. Hooten's is the premier high school sports magazine in the state of Arkansas.

No Uno stats?
 That is funny, Buzzincuzzin.

Actually, I don't know what #10, Scott "Uno Xero" Cavin, did in the game. It was a 2 1/2 drive to the game site, and I didn't get to go. I got Burcham's stats from the radio announcer, but he didn't break down the exactas. And I only got to hear about the last 10 minutes of the broadcast. By then, Greenbrier's first team was off the field.

Defending class 5A state champs, Greenwood (AR), handed Greenbrier their first defeat, in a 59-35 loss for Greenbrier. Greenwood remains undefeated at 9-0, and Greenbrier goes to 8-1.

It wasn't the Panther offense, as Greenbrier scored enough points to beat most any other team. In fact, you could say the Burcham led offense was pretty darn good, in that Greenwood was allowing an average of only 11 points per game (best in the state in 5A), and Burcham still threw for over 300 yards, completing 65% of his passes, throwing for 5 TD's. Poor tackling and two costly first half turnovers put Greenbrier in a fight back mode the rest of the night.

Greenwood moves up to class 6A next season. Greenwood suited up 76 players (actually class 7A numbers) as compared to Greenbrier's 45 players. I'll be surprised if Greenwood does not win the 5A championship again this season, they are that good, again... And a rematch of tonight's teams in the state championship game is a good probability, as they will be in opposite sides of the bracket in the playoffs, beginning two weeks from tonight.

LOL!

That is funny, Bamaguy.

Greenwood, as I've stated, is Razorback QB Tyler Wilson's high school home.

They are literally football crazy in that town, and they could compete with any 7A team in the state. This is how football crazy they are in Greenwood.... During the first week of two-a-days in the summer, 500 parents and townsfolks come out and join in the two-a-day workouts, sweat and all, seriously.

There is no shame in losing to Greenwood, and despite the loss, for Neal Burcham to put up the numbers he did tonight against Greenwood is only a testimony to his personal dominance at the QB position. Not to mention, Neal's tallest receiver is 5' 11". Greenwood had allowed only 4 passing TD's all season in 8 games. Neal hit them for 5 TD passes tonight, all the while, scrambling from a stiff rush and throwing on the run much of the time.

Myself, I'm just hoping Neal gets an offer to play in the SEC.
