Did anyone else notice the empty stadium at baton rouge during the fourth quarter today? The famous lsu "fans" gave up on the team. I am sure their visiting recruits noticed. Actions speak louder than words.
and Lester will lose 19 seniors this year..Bwahaha.Les Miles would have to win the West next year, and RR have another year like this for him to be able to high tail it back to Michigan. Sorry, if I was a Michigan fan I wouldn't be so happy if that did happen. LSU fans used to be like this in the 80's, maybe just maybe they will return to 2-4th best in the West. Ole Miss might have given up one year to early on the big O.
Yeah, and CNS is licking his chops. Do i smell another #1 recruiting class?Did anyone else notice the empty stadium at baton rouge during the fourth quarter today? The famous lsu "fans" gave up on the team. I am sure their visiting recruits noticed. Actions speak louder than words.
You betcha. :biggrin2:Yeah, and CNS is licking his chops. Do i smell another #1 recruiting class?
RTR:BigA:
Yep; and instead got caught in the rush because everyone was leaving around the same time. :biggrin:West
Alabama
Ole Miss :eek2:
LSU
Auburn
Miss St.
Arkansas
Lsu now falls below Ole Miss in the West. The Lsu fans have lost trust in the team and the team has lost its will to win. The fans left to avoid the rush after a loss.
I'd say its been noticed.Did anyone else notice the empty stadium at baton rouge during the fourth quarter today? The famous lsu "fans" gave up on the team. I am sure their visiting recruits noticed. Actions speak louder than words.
Black eye for Tiger nationA lot of people don't agree with that, that fans can weaken a team, but if you believe that a good group of fans can strengthen a team, why is it so hard to believe that a bad group of fans can weaken it? After all, a good crowd is the essence of a home field advantage. And I think pretty much everyone will agree that the home field advantage exists in sports at least to some degree. If good fans give you a home field advantage, why can't bad fans give you a disadvantage? Or at least minimize the advantage?
And then there's the recruiting angle. If the raucous Tiger Stadium crowd is a recruiting draw, why can't a dysfunctional and overly critical crowd be repulsive to recruits? If you believe that being a good fan can help your team, you absolutely have to believe that being a bad fan can hurt it.
However, it would be unfair to single out Blakeney and the Tigers as a whole for their shortcomings last Saturday. Another group that had a subpar night wasn’t even on the field. It’s the elephant in the room and someone has to say it: the display from Tiger nation was equally pitiful.
Just a few incidents witnessed were the thousands of empty seats both around the stadium and in the student section, the booing of a certain player during pre-game introductions, and last, but not least, the mass exodus of fans at halftime scrambling to their cars like Titanic passengers to lifeboats.
shows you how good dorsey is and how important he was for their DLSU has more issues at than just at qb and after watching Jefferson they really don't have anymore issues there. He appears he is the front runner for the job in 09. Defensively they are undisciplined and poorly coached. the co defensive coordinator junk was a joke when Miles first announced it and it is even more of a joke now. Also, for their sake they better hope the players on the defensive line leaving are replaced by much better talent with the ones coming back because they aren't very stout up there like they have been the past few years.
It's been a noticeable change in LSU this season that goes far beyond the impact of just losing a starting qb.
Exactly but the reason now they are saying something is the recent success the mud buggers have had. Back in the day 6 and 5 was a good season with Curly Hallman. This has been an issue for a long time. I attended the Bama games there in '89,'92,&'94,all Bama W's, and the same thing occurred!
From all the smack you were getting from the LSU fans up there, I'd be getting a little payback now. It's been a noticeable change in LSU this season that goes far beyond the impact of just losing a starting qb.
