This is my per peeve. Coleman is an 50 year old outdated facility that has outlived it usefullness. It is not horrible, but it doesn't win you any recruits either. In fact, there are 5 arenas in the state better than ours. There is zero reason to keep an old arena when there is plenty of money to pay for it and you'd have at least some excitement surrounding the program.
My point about Auburn is we are effectively giving the state to them if you don't make a change and get a decent coach. Think about the prospects for next year, Pearl has 5 top 100 recruits. We have one. Also as stated above, how many kids see the writing on the wall and leave after the season. Trevor Lacey is actively recruiting Hale and who knows how many other kids. Do we really think we will be any better next year? Really?
In my opinion, I don't think an arena will be a deciding factor in whether or not a kid goes to a school or not....Coleman isn't going anywhere especially since they just made renovations not too long ago and have spent a ton of money on updated practice facility and locker rooms.....also, I doubt anyone transfers after this season....all of the players seem to love playing with and for each other and I doubt they break that up....just my opinion

I just heard Wimp say on JOX he knows that Anthony Grant will be back next year.

The athletic department has chosen to run off loyal fans that they may never get back. I've had a ton of friends that used to go to the games that gave up their tickets this year. My wife and I along with one other couple at my church still went to the games this year. I asked him last night whether he will go next year and his reply was " not if they keep Grant.". These are not fair weather fans. These are people who have had tickets for 25 years. I've had mine for about 20.

Sad, if true.

FWIW concerning your season tickets: I don't know how much they cost you, but I'd be careful to give up good seats unless I'm in a financial pinch. I've heard from so many who gave up their Tide Pride season tickets in football near the end of CMS tenure to now only regret it.

Bama b'ball will make a comeback, but sounds like it won't be anytime real soon.

We've had maybe 4 or 5 years of decent basketball seasons in the last 20 and now we're basically saying the people who pay to keep the program afloat they don't matter. They run promotions like buy one get one free or discount them to 5 dollars when I pay full price to get people to show up it is so bad. If the administration wants keep Grant another year, do you really think they will actually pay a good coach to come here. The program is nearly dead as it is. We should just give up the sport if we don't aspire to win championships and it is pretty clear we don't.

I have had season tickets for about 30 years...I will keep mine no matter who is coaching. But I am ready for a change. Grant has had plenty of time...I see no real hope of progress under him.

Finebaum started his show by stating that he talked to several Alabama people in Nashville yesterday. They all said that they were keeping Grant. He said one person asked him why would we get rid of him.
