ESPN Early Bowl Projections - Wk 3

Projections for week 3 of college football...always subject to change of course. It would be nice to play the Horns in the Cotton Bowl..but then it would be a home game for them.

That would be a terrific game. We've never beaten them, but we would win in a shoot-out this year!!

As much as I really don't savor the potential of sitting outside in Dallas in the morning of January 1, I would really like to see us get into this matchup.

With nearly all but 1 of the bowl games the final score isn't as much of the issue as is the recruiting and training value to a young and thin team.

Personally, I think we're going to be in the Peach Bowl vs Georgia Tech. The folks at that bowl LOVE to get historic matchups that include local teams and would love to get this one.

The Texas matchup would be great! Lots of story lines for that one if it came true: Major coaching against his college team, were 0-7-1 all time against them and I have a lot of friends that go there

I actually credit us with at least 1 win against Texas. I forget the year, but it was in the 70's and we were up the Texas QB ran a touchdown to win but he had stepped out of bounds. Too bad we didn't have instant replay back then!
