I asked earlier if this is Ok...So I'll just try it. there are several Verses I go to whether to make a point or do help myself, help someone, show what Jesus says and so forth. To help with Salvation I might use Romans 10:9. or with my kids I might use Ephesians 6:1, win my team loses I use Proverbs 24:17. Psalms 100;1-5 was used during our wedding. I have many more. What is yours?

It's hard to beat Psalm 103:10-12 ...

"He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us." (ESV)

I know it is probably the most used verse but John 3:16 is my favorite and this scripture was used by my pastor on easter sunday this year and my 12 year old daughter was saved that very day.

I don't really have a favorite verse, but during my reading today I came apon Matthew 19:19 and I really liked it. I'm sure I've read it before, but if I read a verse today, and read the same verse 10 days from now, it always has a different impact of me.

Jesus replied, " 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,' and 'love your neighbor as yourself.' "

My favorite verse is 2 Cor 5:17: Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.

Also, Isaiah 53:5:
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon HIm, and by HIs scourging we are healed.

Philipians 4:6-7
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the Peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds."

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Psalms 118:8 (KJV)

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Psalms 90:12 (KJV)

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

1st Timothy1: 13-16

13Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 14The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
15Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.
