Favorite Tonight - 'Bama or Providence?

Ok, I'm confused. I looked at my ESPN app on my phone today, and it shows 'Bama is favored by 2.5 points over Providence tonight. Sounds good -
Then, when I click on the game info - there is a Matchup Predictor that shows Providence has a 57.3% chance of winning the game, and 'Bama has a 42.7% chance of winning the game.
Makes no sense to me.

Vegas is predicting us as a 2.5 point betting favorite. It opened last night as a pickem, so probably means the betting trends pushed us to be favored.

ESPN predictors are usually either data or expert driven. Not sure which one you would have seen, but my assumption would be data. All it means is that Vegas favors us but ESPN's algorithms or personalities do not.
