Tim Brando is sitting in a corner somewhere bawling his eyes out.....
Those penalties though...zero discipline. That is domination.
True, and the scoreboard does not reflect the physical pounding L8U put on them. Those penalties though...zero discipline.
No you were right. That rule applies to receptions only it’s that simple. Horrible call.If that's the rule then the game has lost all connection to common sense . And while we're at it, that a caught ball must follow through maintaining possession as you hit the ground is stupid, too. AND, calling targeting on a DB who hits a player in the helmet as that player dips his head is even more stupid. Why is the Offensive guy not called for targeting for dipping his head? Both should be ejected if we're going to maintain sensibility.
I'm just looking for consistency and common sense application. What I've seen over the last week is all manner of idiocy in both the rules "as written" and "as applied' (or not applied).
It's worn me out from yelling at the TV![]()
That vaunted offense got 250 yards on the who’s second string defense? That is domination.
That is domination.
I spent an hour going through the NCAA rule book after that. The only reference to controlling the ball "through the catch" is on a forward pass. There is no such requirement for a kick anywhere, and it should not be assumed in my opinion. If there is a question whether he had the ball when he went down, that is another issue, but it looked to me like he had a grip on it until the ground caused it to come out. I maintain the position that it was a bad call.If that's the rule then the game has lost all connection to common sense . It was akin to us playing basketball with only three players on the court.Everything UCF does annoys me. I’m already sick of the excuses for why they lost. Admittedly, they probably would have have won had Milton played against this LSU defense today. LSU got to focus on stopping a one dimensional QB, which Milton is not.
Still, ask almost any team if they’d rather play a game with a backup QB, or only 2 defensive starters, I figure almost all (other than Oklahoma) would take the 2nd string QB. Losing an entire defense against a top 10 team is a handicap that I’ve never seen before, and doubt we’ll ever see again to the same capacity.

That’s because that’s the only one it applies to. EVERYTHING else is just like a RB or Qb had it on a run. If they hit the ground and that happens it’s a dead ball. Wondering if that was the ACC crew we had.I spent an hour going through the NCAA rule book after that. The only reference to controlling the ball "through the catch" is on a forward pass. Just came to post this, hahahaha - everybody laughing at CFU.
They’ll never admit it, obviously; but those UCF boys know they got their tails kicked.True, and the scoreboard does not reflect the physical pounding L8U put on them.
