I haven't watched it through yet, I'm just going to link the channel.....because I'm sure he's got some language.

Says our execution isn't good. We are miscommunicating and not timing things well. DISCOMBOBULATED!!!!

He does mention Jam cutting his feet (coming to balance) way to early. Not hitting the line before he's dancing. Not hitting the holes fast enough because of it. And the holes are there on tape. Another time, Jam just isn't hitting a wide hole, he just didn't see it in time.

Jam in wildcat, faking the jet to Ty......knowing Ty is no threat to run so they collapsed the edge quickly.

Line isn't hitting the right spots on their guys, meaning they aren't hitting an outside shoulder or chipping or whatever when they are supposed to be. On one play #77 blocked, turned around instead of climbing and looking for a block.

Formsby....worried about that outside rush.....forgot the inside move and it blew up the play.

Also, sometimes its on the coordinator......getting too gimicky.

And....we aren't correcting our footwork and correcting our angles as we climb.

Overall...schematically, not terrible. Our timing is off, RB vision isn't great.....solution.....give the ball to Hill and make them tackle him 15 times. Hill is hitting the holes fast....his vision is better. He's big and violent. He's the better RB.

I haven't watched the video, but there was one play in the 2nd quarter where we ran a jet sweep to Brooks. Formby didn't just whiff on his block, but completely went to where no defender was and the linebacker he should have picked up blew up the play in the backfield. If Formby makes the block, then Brooks probably scores or at least gets the ball near the goal line.

Aside from Formby's fantastic catch and rumble Saturday, man, I've had a hard time trusting him on the line these last 2 years. He's big. That's the best I can offer.

Overall, some positive things about our running "scheme", but man, it looks like we just don't know what we are doing at all, blocking, running, finding holes to run TO, and then actually getting the play to the next level. It usually doesn't get to the first level. If we don't correct this, we're going to be playing behind or way too close to anyway with a competent defense, and that's everyone left we have scheduled, or may play in the post season. We're 3/4 of the way through the season. How can it be corrected now?

I'd agree with letting Hill carry it 15-20 times. Let him really get into the game for once.

He's had 29 carries for 104 yards in 9 games. He needs to get into the groove.

Worst case scenario... He's no better than Jam or Riley. But we have seen both of them and neither is the answer.

I hate to say this but our ability to run is worse than it was last year...

I was expecting the o-line to be really good this year. I even thought that our o-line would be one of the best in the country, so I have been confused as to what is going on. The preseason magazines had Proctor, Brailsford, and Roberts as some of the best o-linemen in college football.

They were wrong again.

I did not believe the hype about our offensive line being the best... Although I didn't think we'd look this bad this far into the year. We are average at pass blocking and quite poor at run blocking.

I knew our tackles at times would struggle between Formby's lack of speed and agility and Proctor weighing 30-40 lbs more than even a massive Saban sized tackle. I also knew Parker would struggle given his lightness in the pants. But I thought Kam and Jaeden could steamroll people, and neither does at all. VDW has been a nice cog to have and his contributions have been great, but he seems average.

We need better players and we need to give Hill the chance this weekend to see if he can bring something that seems lacking between Riley and Jam. Dear seems to be a year away and the other transfer guy is not the answer.

And most importantly... They need to bring in some good players, develop our young guys, and completely retool the running game and OL plans for next year. We need to be able to routinely plug 130-150 on the ground. It will always be a complement to the passing game, but it critical to our success.

We saw this out of DeBore last year with Milroe and Simpson, is he now going to be too loyal to Jam to give someone else like Hill a real opportunity to help this team.

That's not exactly what happened last year. if you search the board you can find some insight on that. If you look at the rotation that's being used at several positions it's hard to think that the staff is too loyal and won't play players who they think are ready to contribute to the team. I think we start to see D Hill play a bigger role going forward

He was the only one hitting the holes on time....... such as they were.

Until there is a major turnover in who is on the line we won't see major improvement. If I was a top shelf offensive lineman looking for some good NIL money on a good team I would have Bama high on my list.
