sadly, WYT is right on with a couple of points he's making. you can count 10 points for tenn just on officiating. then about 17 of their own points makes it a 27 point score for tenn.

do you guys think BAMA will score 28 points? i don't.

i do disagree with one thing there, WYT. i think BAMA will challenge tenn through the air in the first half more than you think they will. on the other side of the 40 yard line, look for BAMA to shoot at the endzone at least twice in the first half.

---- and a point that no one seems to be talking about very much is the game withing a game that i am most concerned with.... tennersee's ability to run the ball between the tackles on BAMA. i believe the difference in the game will be the 3-5 yard runs by tenn that will plug away at the middle of the LOS against BAMA. i don't think we have what it takes on the line to stop a dedicating rushing attack by a quality opponent.

They only get a couple Wilholt FGs and one TD pass. We get 2 rushing TDs and a FG. We win. I think it will be a little wet towards the end of the game and their passing game wont be able to move the ball. Also, we will confuse their rookie QBs and they will throw at least 2 interceptions.

Its not that I believe we will lose, its that I BELIEVE if I say we will win we won't. Jesus christ!! I even made reference to the REDSOX and the fact I was saying go yankees so Boston would win it is my own little thing!!!
The belief comes from my U-Pick'em post I was making our only two losses came when I posted it and picked us to win!! Get a grip!! I have already said my piece in another post and do not need to explain myself to anyone on here or anywhere else for that matter. And to answer one last question for WHOEVER it was where was I in January of 93, I was in the Super Dome as I just moved to New Orleans I fought my battles on Bourbon Street and I sure didn't see anyone questioning my faith then!!! Whatever you guys have fun and I'll just stick to reading and not posting anymore cause god knows if I see it different from the moderator I am done!! Thanks and good luck the rest of the year!! Hell, forget 1992. Tennessee is definetly no Miami. This game seems eerily familiar to the 2001 Alabama/Barn game...a top 15 team, at their place, with our back-up QB in a game NO ONE (except Cecil Hurt) picked us to win.

I agree that this feels a bit like the 2001 Auburn game. I don't think we'll paste them 31-7 like we did Auburn that year. We need something like a passing game to put up that many points, and I have too lot of respect for their LBs to believe that they will give up a lot of points. But I have a feeling we'll whip them at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, and have more points than them on the final scoreboard. 13-10 RTR.

I generally agree with WYT's instincts on this game.

I feel like Pennington will have to perform like a better quarterback than I think he is for us to win. I hope he surprises me...

I would rather have WYT on here giving his gut instincts (with specific reasons why he feels that way) before the game than those who think Alabama is going to blow out Tennessee right now coming back after the game calling for Coach Shula's/Rader's/Kines's head if we lose.

Sometimes a small dose of reality before the game can help offset some of the effects of a big dose of reality during and after the game. Especially when that reality is difficult to swallow.

hey WYT...you are entitled to your opinion. I have no problem with that. The thing that bothers me is that 99% of your posts are negative. Get a grip man....the sky is not falling everytime something doesn't go your way. And another thing you need to watch is your constant use of taking the Lord's name in vein. He man....it's your porogative to believe whatever you want...but there are some folks on here that don't appreciate that name being tossed around like a curse word. I think tenn has beaten miami every time they played.

I wish I knew what to expect Saturday. But then, thats what will make it interesting. Bamaby7 alluded to 92 when nobody gave us a chance and Tenn is no Miami.

I am nervous about this game. It is sad to say, I would like to see us win
it more out of hate for the ncaa mess than just the game itself. I at the
same time know it would be great for the team and coaches. Bama is the
only team I care about. I like to watch other games etc, but Roll Tide.

We win this and recruiting, pride and redemption is acheived. If we lose, I'll still pull for team and coaches. And feel for the players because of circumstances. Geeze I hope we win, it would make my season, and we would be bowl eligible on top of that!
