I realize that the Bear Bryant stuff shown before the team comes out is tradition but honestly the people that put our entrances togather need to do some rethinking. IMO we should play that 5 mins before the game and then we need something that will pump up the crowd like Intersandman or Welcome to the Jungle. They do this at Virginia Tech and it gets their fans UP. The clips of previous years just arent getting it done like highlights of THIS season and a good song would. Anyone want to see what I am talking about.... Opinions???

They also do that at Auburn. :(

If I had to say I'd go with Sweet Home Alabama, crowd seems to get pumped for that.

However, I think if you need a song to get pumped up for big games, you probably should give your tickets to someone who is more excited to see Alabama play.

With all due respect, I agree.

I can't stand hearing cheesy rock & rap music at a college football game. I attended law school at UNC-Chapel Hill; they do that at Carolina games, too.

If a person wants to listen to pop music (of whatever variety) during a football game, that's what iPods are for... :p

I dont know if anything gets me more fired up than the last progression of that video...the crowd goes wild during the goal line stand, Teague's rundown, then the Elephant, and "This is Alabama football", followed by the entrance of the guys....I get chill bumps just thinking about it...

Yeah, I second that.

That's one thing that sets Alabama (and other traditional programs) apart from others. We don't need the most up to date rap or rock to get the crowd up. I wouldn't mind another intro video with more current plays to the tune of a song maybe, but something that is in good taste. The Crimson Tradition video says it all though I think.

You can tell soley from an intro video whether or not a school has tradition. I've been to Alabama, Oklahoma, and Nebraska and all have awesome intro videos that stay away from "pop culture" music of today.

Here's the intro video for Oklahoma and I hope we can do something like this next year. Incorporate the past with the present. We actually have some great highlights that we can work with now.

I get pumped hearing the music, no matter what it is, as long as it's showing our boys kicking the crap out of someone. I also get pumped up when they're showing the video of them introducing themselves (as if we don't know who they are) and what position they play. I wish I could find a video of that on the internet. Does anyone know if you can?

VaTech has no choice. They can't very well use their tradition and past championships, can they? BAMA has plenty of both and doesn't have to stoop to rock concert crapola to stimulate the fans.
