We're down 3-0 in the fifth. For some reason, Josh Rosecrans isn't in the lineup but Hunter Gregory and David Kindred are.

Also for you Josh Sanders haters, he's 1-for-2 with a single to center on an 0-2 pitch. Boo yeah!

I guess that now that Josh has shown he can throw an inning or two that he won't be playing any more?

Poor Nathan. Poor Bama.

4-0 UF in the bottom of the 7th. We had men on 1st and 2nd with one out and didn't score. That's about as close to a threat as we have had in the last three games.

One run in the last 21 innings of SEC baseball for the Tide now.

Florida has an excellent shot at three shutouts against our lineup. It's sad how completely overmatched we are against this team. Dugas is the only Bama position player who would even see the field at Florida.

I'll be shocked if we win more than 11 SEC games. What was already a poor offensive team has actually managed to regress over the course of the season. At the same time, it doesn't help when a team absolutely starved for runs has a coach that insists on benching one of the three guys on the team who has multiple home runs and is actually capable of leaving the yard on occasion.

How'd we ever win eight?

Actually Zona some buddies and I watched the game on Gator vision and Sanders had another hit late in the game but more importantly he was a stud at 2nd saving at least 2 or 3 runs early in the game to keep us in it. At least there was a small bright spot tonight. Still hate the nike bats.

Still hate the nike bats.

Despite the fact that they are leading the SEC in homers, South Carolina just this week made the switch from Easton to Rawlings. So if it is in fact possible to switch bat companies midseason, just what the heck have they been waiting on? Granted, I have no idea what the terms of the contract with Nike are, but prior to this season, we've always had Nike uniforms and cleats, but different bats (Louisville Slugger in 1995 and 2010, Easton from 1996-2009). Clearly, this team needs all the help it can get at the plate; using these garbage Nike bats is only exacerbating the problem. This article is a little dated, but still relevant since Nike still makes worthless junk.

Then again, while the bats certainly aren't helping, they're hardly the main problem. Realistically, new bats probably wouldn't make that much of a difference this season.

+1 You gotta make solid contact for a bat to start to be a problem. From my experience, solid contact has be the problem. The Nike bat should actually help some when bunting...will help kill the ball ;)

South Carolina has been with rawlings all year. Tanner made the switch in January.
The bats aren't great, but realistically, the new bats are bad for everyone. Some companies just suck less than Nike, but to me, this year the companies are closer across the board than they have been in a long time. The fiddlers are our problem this year, not the fiddles.

A partial solution to the offensive troubles: have Andy Phillips switch jerseys with one of the players and sneak him into the lineup as, say, Charley Waldrep. Maybe no one would notice. I can hear the broadcasters now: "The freshman Waldrep, listed on the roster as a catcher, has really swung the bat well since taking over at second base."

Nevermind.

Josh Sanders has ANOTHER HIT!!

also Brandt Hendricks has homered!!!

We're still down 4-2 in the second game, but that's two things I never thought I'd see in the same game.

WHAT IN THE HELL WAS THAT?

Dugas reaches on an error. Bennett, who is 2 for 2, BUNTS. We are DOWN TWO RUNS

This is why I do not feel like this coaching staff is very good.
