Game Thread: Florida vs LSU

On my phone I don't always type out my thoughts that well.

But I think we take this LSU team if we can get healthy and stay that way. I don't think they have enough beyond Fournette. Gotta get past Tennessee and get healed up.
Yeah, we need to put UT awake quickly so we can rest. We are getting banged up at a bad time.

Wanted to get your opinion on whether this should have been called or not as a personal foul. It'***** social media now so just a matter of time before the league office sees and reviews it. It clearly looks like L.F. hits #20 Marcus Maye in the side of the helmet, whether intentional or not, that's not allowed in the rules. Missed call?

ARTICLE 2a No person subject to the rules shall strike an opponent with the knee; strike an opponent’s helmet (including the face mask), neck, face or any other part of the body with an extended forearm, elbow, locked hands, palm, fist, or the heel, back or side of the open hand; or gouge an opponent (AR 9-1-2-I)

Looked more like a left hook than stiff arm. Anyone else might have been ejected. Fournette has become the media darling so likely he gets a break.

I said it during the game - he should have been penalized for that. Fournette was playing angry and it showed, but that is a foul. A defensive player doing that would have been ejected.

I was surprised Blackledge didn't say something about it. It was even more clear from the end zone camera that ESPN showed on the replay.

Did you not see the Florida defensive player holding his face mask?

I don't see when the rule Bazza provided was instituted, but it would seem this Trent Richardson run should have been flagged since he used his palm/open hand to slap the Auburn defender in the helmet.

FWIW I thought the same Bazza. I thought we played well given a QB that hasn't played in 5.5 games and starts in a hostile environment. He can't grow 4-5 inches soon enough, so it limits his passing lanes and options. Our OL is still young and it showed - pass protection and running lanes. Overall, we are way ahead of schedule and that's just great coaching.
