Been listening to Birmingham radio, been hearing the barners saying Saban aint this, Bama has no patience etc... etc.. etc...
Allow me to put a few facts out for our Auburn brethren.

Barners like to point out Saban never went undefeated at LSU. True and it took Tubs 6 years to go undefeated at Auburn. It took Saban 4 years to win a national title.

Before Saban took over at LSU , they had 1 winning season in 3 years.
Before Tubs, Auburn had 2 winning seasons including a 10-3 and one of their 43 SEC west titles 2 years earlier.

Bama fans arent patient we will never be patient with Saban, similar to the way you guys were with Bowden, a SEC west title in 97 and fired in 98? And who can forget jet gate in '03?

Saban has averaged 3 losses a season at LSU
So has Tubbs at Auburn

Sounds like for every finger pointed at us, there are 3 more pointed back at you.

When he took over at LSU, they were more like a Miss State than Bama... so the facilities et al are much more substantial here.

At Miami, well it's pretty tough to use the same tactics with people making 10 times what you make and who wield more power than you in a program. His success lies in that he is a teacher as well as a coach, not a general manager.

trying to get a barner to understand "reason" is futile. Just let them eat boogers and hump sheep without interruping them with things like "reason" or "common sense".

Wingnut has 1 SEC title in his 10+ years as an SEC coach, most of those with the barners.

Saban has 2 SEC titles and a NC in 5 years as an SEC coach.

Case Closed.

That's nowhere near the truth. LSU has made facilitiy improvements, but they were always in the top 5 of the SEC. And now, facilities are comparabale with everyone in the conference.

Just curious, how did Tuberville end up at Auburn? Wasn't he the Ole Miss coach before he took the Auburn job?
Yep. He was at Ole Miss and told them that "the only way he would ever leave Ole Miss would be in a pine box." A few days later, he was announced as the Auburn Coach.

And, when he left OM, it wasn't pretty there either. He told them right up till after he'd accepted AU's offer that he was staying. When he and his staff left, they took everything, including all the recruiting tapes, correspondence, etc., which they had to cough back up, since it was university property...

I happened to be uniquely situated to see that develop from the inside. He made Fran look classy; something very hard to do...

What I always hear is Tubby is 3-2 against Saban & Watson Browns UAB team beat Saban at LSU. That is all very true and I don't believe in making excuses. I pulled for UAB to win that game, no doubt it.

Saban's past record doesn't matter - If he goes 3-2 against Tubby at Bama that will matter BIG TIME to me, right now I don't give a..... what Saban did at LSU. I don't care if he won an NC or not - I am an alabama fan & Sabans record prior to this year means nothing to me

I have never been a Saban fan until now so I usually wanted LSU to lose except the year they won the NC just cause it was SEC (Tennessee excluded) team.

I don't expect Tubby to win many games against Bama while Saban is there however I have to yet to see Saban's Bama team play so I could be wrong. I doubt I am though in this instance

Hey I am no Tubby or Auburn fan but you can't take away the undfeated season, That is GREAT for any SEC team. What more can you do but win them all.

You can not play against Buffalo and the Citadel expecting to overtake two other undefeated teams (OU and USC) that played much tougher schedules.

You can not go into the Iron bowl expecting to blow out Bama and be shutout 6-0 at halftime. I d know the barners won that game in 04, but the only way they could have passed OU in the BCS is to blow Bama out 42-0. As we all know that didn't happen.

You can not be shutout by USC the year before and honestly expect to be competitive with them just one year later, much less expect to win. :BigA:

c'mon man going undefeated in the SEC is big time - Name the last team to do it

When was the last time Bama did it - I am not going to pull for Auburn but I am going to accept the truth about it. You do not have to drag down someone else to make your team look good

if Bama went undefeated just in the SEC I'd be pretty happy about it - If we went undefeated and the non confernce schedule was UT-Chattanooga and Miles college I'd be very happy about it.

Going undefeated in the SEC is a major, MAJOR accomplishment, period.

You don't have to like the team to recognize they had a GREAT year

IMHO ANY sec team that goes undefeated should be in the NC game simply because I think (we obviously disagree on this) the SEC is the toughest conference and USC, OSU...stc would have a hard time going undefeated if they played in the SEC. I am not saying they could not do it but it ain't very easy - doesn't happen often.

Yeah auburn sucks but they had a great year

If we win the next five against Auburn, which I'm positive is going to happen, then his record against Tubbs will be a glistening 7-3. That's if they keep Tubbs around that long.
