The most outlandish vehicle revealed by Ford this week is the SYN US, a boxy wagon that’s smaller than the Ford Focus. It has a 45-inch liquid crystal display built into the tailgate and is WiFi ready.
The 4-passenger SYN US has the most outlandish lookâ€â€sort of like a small van that’s smaller than a current day Focus. Doors on the SYN US are 6-inch-thick milled aluminum, like those in a bank vault, and there are no outside mirrors. A driver sees what’s around the vehicle via cameras.
Your very own armored car (without the armor). It even has a 45-inch display (that will talk to your wireless laptop and palm computer) on the tailgate so you can entertain the drivers behind you. Uses of this feature stagger the imagination --- anything from weather bulletins, to insults, to porn pictures, to political plugs??? Computer displays have appeared on the rears of cars in the past, but this is the first attempt at mass production.
