TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama football team held its 18th practice of fall camp on Friday with a two-hour session at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility. The practice marked the Crimson Tide’s final workout before its second scrimmage, which is set for Saturday afternoon at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

I think Saban has some real surprises coming this year, got a lot of real pay back to dish out, he will have them ready, Question is who will LEAD on Saturdays, this is what we missed last year.

No complaints here about the content, thanks Jim. However as I and others have lamented... we're basically getting zilch nothing nada when it comes to information about the 2011 version of Alabama football. Compared with years past even under Coach Saban we're hardly getting any info. Can't wait for the season to finally roll around...

When's the first game/kick-off classic type matchup?

He told the media he would mess with them. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Hightower's rushing stats and Quinton Dial's passing stats after tomorrow's scrimmage. Maybe when he thinks theyve had enough he will loosen up a little.

I'm as disappointed as anyone in the lack of information, however, I totally understand and support Coach Saban's reasons for withholding practice information. I have a feeling by the time SEC play comes around we will all be happy and thankful little information is being shared from fall practices.

Thanks Jim.

Two games posted there remind me of a couple things.

First - The Temple/Villanova game was one of the best games I saw last year, a real nail biter with solid fundamentals if not great athletes. Very evenly matched game.

Second - Seeing Youngstown St. vs Mich St. makes me (sarcasm) look forward to the Big-10/12 vs MAC Challenge (yes I know YSU isn't a MAC or BSD team)... but it reminded me of this for some reason.

TCU/Baylor looks to be the best thing on the early docket as we get to watch Robert Griffin vs TCU, could be fun.

i honestly can't blame him for not sharing the details. He deals with the Alabama media daily. That alone should be enough for us to understand. He gives them an inch and they take a mile, whether it be a statistic from a scrimmage, a certain player not practicing or why he wore slacks as opposed to shorts. It's frustrating enough to me as a fan to read and hear some of the questions he deals with, so it's pretty simple as to why he deals with the media the way he does.
