Good read; our guys sounded pretty confident in those quotes; I just hope it's not an issue of overcofnidence. Ro had it right when he said the offense goes through CM, so I'm interested to see what we do to try and affect him.

He's telling his team that Alabama is the greatest ever so they'll get mad and do whatever they can to win. He wants them to have a chip on their shoulder. But honestly, both teams are great so no one should really be the underdog.

I think he's really overplaying his hand (at least in public). If we can punch them in the mouth early (metaphorically of course) I wonder how their players react after a month of hearing stuff like this.

I was going to post it, but didn't want to give the "journalist" the time of day. Basically she was saying that Alabama shouldn't be in the BCS because we're on a probation (even though she listed the AFCA's criteria), and she even had quotes from Gary Patterson, where she was trying to get him to say he wouldn't vote for Alabama in the Coaches' Poll if Alabama beats Texas.

I was watching the 03 Ole Miss-LSU game the other night (for the Western Division championship) and Verne made the comment that Brodie Croyle had said - quite clearly - that LSU was much better than Oklahoma. This at a time when OU was being called the greatest team of all-time.

Like I said in another post, after so long of hearing that stuff, if they come out and we jump up on them real quick, the UT players may start thinking, "Wow, these guys really ARE better than us..." And that's a good way to lose a game...

What's she's doing is called, wanting to be relevant. Josh Moon did the same thing in Montgomery till he got a semi successful radio show. He's all but forgotten his old rants these days. I'd ignore her like I ignored Moon.

btw, I can see why she's mad. If I had to look at that face every morning in the mirror, I'd be mad too.

I wish I hadn't. She sounds like a whiney little kid. Barners would love the article. But it is like I told a barner the other day when he said Ingram didn't deserve the Heisman. I just simply told him what he thought didn't matter and left it at that. He had nothing else he could say.

The FW S-T is the same rag that wrote that TCU is better than Texas, the Horns are afraid of the Frogs, etc. Guess they got tired of nipping at our heels and decided to start chasing your tires. As soon as the Cowboys start losing again, they'll go back to baiting Jerry Jones and Tony Romo.

So what if Ingram didn't deserve the Heisman.

If we apply the standards THEY want to apply, Bo Jackson didn't deserve the Heisman. Auburn lost two games prior to the 1985 Iron Bowl - and Jackson got 'hurt' in both games and had poor performances or games where he sat out the second half.

Or Pat Sullivan got creamed in the Iron Bowl right after he won his Heisman.

I mean we could go on forever about the Heisman criteria.

The funny part is this - back when she was on the "Dennis and Ingle" show, she was the SMARTER one of the two.

Dennis would play Skip Bayless - you know, the clueless idiot who advocates something nobody in his right mind would think?
