I got to see very little of the game but, the things that stand out from media reports, stats and the litte I did see are:

1. Besides Arky, our #1 D saw the best offense it will see in the fall today and held them to 13 points,

2. The secondary forced several turnovers which was a concern to me coming into the spring.

3. RB & WR made some explosive plays against a very good D.

Obviously you have to show up and compete every Saturday but, the only teams this fall that should be within 2 scores going to the 4th Q are Arky, Mich & LSU. Honestly, with the turmoil in pig-land and 5 months to review A-Day and improve, scheme for UM, the only game that has the talent/ability to match us is LSU.

From top to bottom it looks like there were more great players on the field today than maybe ever.

Recruiting is paying off.
I agree. I told one of my friends that I'd never seen the amount of talent on both sides of the ball, on 1st and 2nd string, on one team. Nobody looked bad. The plays that were made on offense were mostly great plays, and the defense played great overall. I was extremely impressed with how the starting D played against our O line. I truly feel that neither unit will see a better one across the line scrimmage this year, and I was glad to see both units making plays against each other. Our starting D won this one, but our offense didn't play badly. I am excited after seeing the game. This team has the potential to be as good as they want to be!

I though Hart looked and played pretty big for a "little scat back". Definately looks like we will be replacing the one with the many, but the many has me excited!

He's going to be hard to keep off the field this fall, freshman or not. That's not a mediocre defense he's running against. I think he's passed Fowler already...
I still think fowler would be great at H. Have to wonder if Lacey comes back 100% if we still might see it in the fall?

What did the yellow covers on some of the crimson team's helmets mean? At first, I thought it was for special teams. When you have grandkids along, you can only half focus on the field. I feel like a moron for asking.

My guess was 80k were there. It was so hot, many left at halftime.

I have to agree. Fowler looks far more the phenotype. The only thing I can figure is that BC's blocking must be better...
Yeah BC look really good when he was in. Surprised not to see Lewis much because early reports were he was playing there and doing really well. Could have been out there but just did not notice him. I also thought B Vogler really look good. I believe it was him that Vinnie tried to leap up and tackle him, but barely held on as he went out of bounds. There is not many people VS can not lay out and Vogler will be a big target.

Vinnie de-cleated Vogler in last year's spring game, haha
