Game Thread: Game Thread for 11/01/25 CFB games

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

This upcoming stretch of games for us may be more daunting than the previous 5 game stretch was.

LSU is now a wildcard. And how many teams have looked much better with an interim coach after firing their deadweight HC? OU now has momentum and a bye week to get healthy. Thankfully both games are in BDS. Then we have Auburn at Auburn. They are awful, dysfunctional, and Hugh Freeze is dead man walking. Let’s just hope the Jerdin Hare curse is truly broken.

I don't think Hugh makes it to the Iron Bowl

I was convinced this was made up until I saw it on their forum myself.

That was an extremely winnable game that they blew in spectacular fashion.

I don’t believe they will need to boycott the playoffs.
10 or see played like hot garbage. so did okie for a large chunk of the game.

that was not far from a two mules and a turnip game

Are we capable of losing any of those last three? Absolutely. Will it be easy?? Absolutley not. But I still say what we just went through was more difficult cumulatively. We have been a very good home team this year. (Won all of our home games by 16 points or more.) and 3 of our last 4 are at home. And yes we can’t not show up to play eastern Illinois. But we all know that game is like a semi-bye week.

Auburn @JHS??? Who knows honestly.

I mean that I think it will take a greater effort of intense preparation, in the sense that it should be easy to get up for a ranked opponent when your season hangs in the balance. Now that you’ve overcome this huge gauntlet, there is the tendency to relax a bit when you see two of your three upcoming opponents firing their head coaches.

I absolutely agree that it’s huge for the LSU and OU games to be at BDS. We will see how Auburn responds to the Freeze firing before we get to them. Maybe all hope will have been drained from that program by the end of the month. LSU is a different story. Getting rid of Kelly could be a huge boost of morale and we are the first opponent they will face without him. And then OU is still very much in the playoff race, absolutely needs the win against us, and has a week to heal and get ready while we deal with LSU.

We may have climbed the steepest part of the mountain, but as Coach Saban famously said, with me paraphrasing, ascending those final thousand feet to the summit can be the most difficult.

Oklahoma was not in the playoff race last season and lost the previous week and still got up for the Alabama game. I don't think winning or losing in Knoxville makes near as much difference as having the bye this week does. I'm still glad UT lost...
