I guess my point is at what point does the university have a sit down with Kirby? How realistic is it that he just so happens to recruit kids who have issues with reckless driving or is it more realistic that there's something within the program that is promoting it? Again, it would be one thing if it was a few here and there, but we're talking about 25 instances in a very, very short period of time. Again, what is more likely, that Kirby is just unlucky and has recruited kids who like to recklessly drive behind the wheel of a car or is there something in the program contributing to it?
You are completely correct. Can't even point my finger and say "it's happening everywhere." because it would be ignorant to say other schools are having the same problems at the same frequency.

I'm curious as to what being suspended in the off-season really entails.

Are they barred from practice facilities, the weightroom, film study, training table, etc.? Are they participating in spring practice, only with no chance to play in the G-Day game (assuming that even exists)?

What punishment results from suspension other than during the season itself?
Last year at least (since this is so frequent). There was no punishment of suspension from the team. The punishment was carried to suspension from a game during the regular season.

This year the two players are currently suspended. This is complete removal from the team and all team related activities/benefits at this time. I would make the argument that if they do stay on the team that punishment in the form of missing games in the regular season will also be carried out. I can not promise that, just make the argument of course.

Under the heading of, “You can’t make this stuff up,” comes this. Athens’ culture of speeding and obstruction of law enforcement seems to have spread from the Athletic Department to sorority row.

Lily’s a cutie. But I don’t think she’s real smart.

Among a string of other ill-advised comments, she told the police officer executing her second arrest in two weeks (this one unrelated to traffic violations), “I tried to get away because I’m out on bond.”

Not just the same day. Literally seconds later, by the same officer. She basically got the ticket, said thanks, then floored it back up to 85 and the officer had to chase her down.
Wow!

So Lily got stopped for doing 80+ and got a ticket. Immediately afterward, she sped away from the officer that wrote the ticket...which forced him to chase her down a second time. That second offense got her arrested as opposed to just a ticket. Given what we know now, I'm surprised she actually stopped.

Then a couple weeks later she's in a group that broke into a locked student building during the wee hours -- for what reason we don't know. She tries to run, is caught, and says she ran because she's out on bond.

Something tells me there's more than two weeks of history here.

And yeah, Lily falls into Danger Zone of 92's chart.

I saw where her goal after graduation (or daddy getting tired of writing checks...which could take a while -- she's from St. Simons Island) is to be a contestant on The Bachelor. God help that poor guy.

She's a sophomore and given her decision-making abilities, I doubt she was admitted early. So there's about a 99.99999% chance she's over 18.
