I'm not even a Tech fan and I was so disgusted with the officiating and non-calls on "targeting" and "holding" by the UGA OL. Horrible! I sort of agree with DK on it!

Didn’t see a single play. Was it that bad?
That DPI call on the 4th down at the end should have never been a DPI. That one call changed the whole game.I'm not eve a Tech fan and I was so disgusted with the officiating an non-calls on "targeting" and "holding" by the UGA OL. Horrible! I sort of agree with DK on it!

Touchdown was classic offensive pass interference as well. That DPI call on the 4th down at the end should have never been a DPI. That one call changed the whole game.
Not calling targeting on the King fumble....when the crown of his helmet hit King in the facemask....changed the game.
Refs pulled UGA up numerous times.
Officiating at all levels, across all sports, is in serious decline. High school officiating in Alabama is atrocious.Refs are poor both ways i think....they did give GT a DPI and the ball on the 1 with a chance to win it...so unless they were 100% confident UGA was going to stop them then they were risking their "paychecks"lol....at some point we have to get better ref crews all over CFB. Maybe it full-time officials... although the NFL ones don't seem to be much better, either!
Between phantom PI calls giving UGA first and goal following a failed third down conversion to incredibly blatant holds that weren't called, etc. - yes, it was that bad.Didn’t see a single play. Was it that bad?
What we learned from the Tech/dawgs gameDidn’t see a single play. Was it that bad?
Dang, that’s a shame.Between phantom PI calls giving UGA first and goal following a failed third down conversion to incredibly blatant holds that weren't called, etc. - yes, it was that bad.
If you told me the refs were paid to make sure UGA won I'd not doubt it for a millisecond.
“You’ve got to go down, break down, you’ve got to do that, but what we want is you to keep your eyes up and see what you’re hitting,” Shaw said. “In that situation, that player you are hitting is not defenseless, so the only way you could get called for targeting is with the crown (of the helmet).
“To do that, you would have to lower your head and make contact. The crown is the button (atop) the helmet and the 6-inch radius around it.
“The dangerous position is when you lower your head … and there’s a line with the spine angle … that’s not what we want. As soon as you drop your head, you’re no longer reacting to the play, you’re just a missile at that point.”
Lordy. My daughter played 4A girls basketball in North Alabama last year and it was laughably bad. We played one team there the refs fouled our best player out before the half. They called a foul and the one ref called her number, looked around, and pointed at her to get out of the game. She was across the court and not even near another player or the ball!Officiating at all levels, across all sports, is in serious decline. High school officiating in Alabama is atrocious.
