FTR, I don't believe in chaos. I believe in spontaneous order.John Stossel explains spontaneous order
Well I have never called for walls or mass deportations but I believe in the spontaneous enforcement of the rule of law and the principles found in the Constitution. You know must governments throughout history would see Mexico's total lack of respect of our territorial integrity as an act of war. As a nation and as a people we have been beyond tolerant and beyond generous concerning the mass influx of illegals into our work force, schools, communities, and welfare structure. It is now to the point that is crippling us financially when it is difficult for many to care for their own. A little document says it is the federal govt's job to protect us from such events and they haven't done it. We are tired of it. Are we bigots for wanting the rule of law? Are we racists for wanting American borders to be secure? Are we troglodytes for wanting English taught in our schools? I say we're Americans who see our society forced into a bind needlessly by a people who clearly want the benefits of living in the American society with absolutely ZERO desire to become Americans.

FWIW I would gladly trade people who hate this country for thousands of LEGAL immigrants who yearn to become AMERICANS and seek the dream with every fiber of their being. I won't trade my nation for cheaper FREAKING tomatoes!

Again, there is no immigration problem. Illegal immigration is good for this country. Most illegal immigrants are very hard working & decent people. The problem is the federal nanny state. It invites fraud & abuse by citizens & non-citizens alike.

Yes, according to the Constutution, the Feds job is to prevent illegal entry into the U.S, BUT the Constitution is being shredded to catch the ones who are already here. I'll be more than willing to trade more border security if we can abolish some of these ridiculous domestic laws against immigrants.

IMO, we should blame ourselves for allowing the State to become so bloated & out of control instead of taking it out on poor Mexicans that are just trying to escape their desperate situations.

hard working- yes. decent people- not even close. i can only speak for the ones i have personally met, that would probably be close to 1000. "most" hated everything about the US, hated our culture, were openly racist, treated women like crap, and would steal anything within arm's reach. poverty tends to breed crime. they are no different. the problem is that we are encouraging immigration by overwhelmingly poor people. they bring crime, they bring an ignorant backwards culture, and they bring public health issues. so please forgive me if im not enlightened enough to welcome them with open arms.

so you blame us for not cleaning up our system but completely forgive mexicans for not cleaning up their country. typical US self-hate and excuse making for everyone else.

Everything must be sacrificed to the goal of getting hispanic voters into one column or the other (mostly being won by the Democrats) or the driving down the semi-skilled or unskilled labor (benefiting small business owners, which probably helps Republicans disproportionately).
All other considerations are secondary.

Not sure this is true. Illegal immigration is good for businesses that employ semi-skilled and unskilled labor.

No argument here.

The problem is that immigrants do not check their cultural baggage at the Rio Grande. They bring their problems with them. They bring their different understanding of the relationship between the individual, the state and the nation. If they come in amounts small enough for the adopting country to digest and assimilate, then they are not a problem. If they come in uncontrolled numbers and thus do not assimilate, then they can be a source of severe cultural conflict.
Also, allowing unlimited numbers of Mexicans to escape from the mess that is Mexico won't do anything to fix the serious problems in that country. If not improvement is found in Mexico, then the stream of immigrants seeking safety will only increase until southern California and Arizona look like Chihuahua or Sonora.

Which would mean it also benefits those who patronise those businesses.

Aren't they presently coming in uncontrolled numbers? I don't really see any great cultural conflict here where I live or in Atlanta or in New Hampshire where I lived
previously.

I agree.
