Getting Ready for Spring Battles!

I was watching some of the A day highlights this morning. One of the plays was a run from inside the 5 by Hill. I was a big Hill supporter last year. On this play though..he quit running and prepped for the collision at the 2 instead of running the defense over. He was tackled short of the goal line.

I mean... I get it was practice and the guys get tired of going against each other. But neither Hill nor Riley seemed like the guy last year.

Was really hoping Dear and Crowell would show out. I didn't even know Brown's name!

If you're talking about the block by Dear where he got knocked through the air into the backfield it's important to note that the guy who knocked him backwards lost momentum and never got back into the play, it looked like a win for the Defender on video but in reality Dear had the right body angle and blocked his man. The defender would have needed to avoid a straight on collision with Dear if he was ever going to make a run at the ball carrier.
That one and a run down on the goal line and a run in the red zone . For someone 210lbs, he runs like he is 170.

Two of the most reliable posters on other sites with inside info on medical issues have said the news on Noah Rogers is bad.

Strongly hinting if not outright saying a Medical Redshirt is incoming.

Being that he’s a portal addition who knows if he actually ever takes a snap for us.

WR for me is officially a concern now.

I only have a lot of trust with Brooks at this point and several guys are going to need to play above expectations and stay healthy for it to not develop into a problem.

Especially when we are breaking in a new OL and QB.

I haven’t seen a timeline for Crowell but man we really needed him to be in play for a lot of early playing time.
I think all, these WRs will do well.
Ryan Coleman-Williams, Lotzeir Brooks, Derek Meadows, Cederian Morgan, Rico Scott, and Ty Henderson. Ty is a JUCO transfer. His Sophomore year, he had 1,202 yards and 12 touchdowns on 67 catches.

That’s good buuut I hope he actually is bigger than Brailsford as listed because good size/weight is really needed to stop those DTs. Brailsford Couldn’t move anyone and killed inside runs. But of course the whole line was just annually horrible any improvement will be wonderful lol
He's listed at 6'3", 301 lbs. Wasn't Brailford around 290 or 295 lbs?
