Is Trump going to win this nomination easily? Am I wrong in thinking that the only fight here is for 2nd place? I think Vivek is trying to be vice president. Unfortunately, I think Trump wins in 2024 as crazy as that seems. People reading history books 50 years from now are going to be wondering what the heck we were smoking. Politics is becoming more toxic by the day, so the situation 50 years from now could be even worse.

Vivek would be a great insurance policy for Trump. Haley would be the opposite. Anybody thinking of whacking Trump (and I can guarantee you, there are many) would have to think twice about doing something that would install Vevek into the WH.

Yeah, it becomes a more frightening possibility by the day, although I would warn that the Iowa caucus electorate in the GOP is one of the most un-representative of the entire country electorates that exist. It always has been. New Hampshire - with the exception it's so white - is actually a generally good representative cross-section, but Trump has momentum now.

Politics had already reached the point where disagreement was becoming harder for folks to do so politely. Trump simply poured gasoline on that situation and then lived - abetted by the "law and order" faction of his own party (with few exceptions, nearly all of whom are out of politics now) - showing he'd do whatever he'd want and nobody would do anything about it.

I read somewhere that he spent $130m during this campaign. This is why I will never donate to a political candidate or party.

Trump responds to DeSantis ending his campaign tonight, referring to him as “Ron” instead of a nickname: “He ran a really good campaign, I will tell you…He was very gracious and he endorsed me, so I appreciated that. I appreciate that and I also look forward to working with Ron and everybody else to defeat crooked Joe Biden.”

Donald Trump is "too mentally unstable" to be President and his "sociopathic" tendencies present "a profound danger for America's democracy and safety", a group of psychiatrists claimed.

While Trump has always denied being mentally unwell, a controversial book released in 2017 also looked at his mental state.

The book titled 'The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump' contained essays from 27 psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals who examined Trump's characteristics.

Judith Lewis Herman of Harvard Medical School and Bandy X. Lee of the Yale School of Medicine wrote in the prologue: "Anyone as mentally unstable as Mr. Trump simply should not be entrusted with the life-and-death powers of the presidency."

Philip Zimbardo, who ran the famous Stanford prison experiment, added that Trump is "an impulsive, immature, incompetent person who, when in the position of ultimate power, easily slides into the role of the tyrant."
