Heard Dr. Witt speak last night about his vision and new programs for UA. Very exciting stuff going on. Ten years from now no one will mention Sorenson in the same sentence.
He said current graduation rate for incoming freshmen is 68% (defined as getting their degree in 5 years) with only 83% returning for their sophomore year, with most of the attrition due to economics.
When asked about his future goals he said "if we could get the general student poulation graduation rates up to the athletics rate, that would be quite an accomplishment".
Sometimes we bash the AD and staff too much. We should also give them credit for doing a good job in this area.
