I have avoided this thread because I come to Tidefans to escape my own heavy heart . Because this reminds me of the possible terrible inevitability in my own life . But to avoid someone that I have known perhaps only through words on a screen , but through that very screen and those very words for 15 years, is not being a very good friend. I apologize for that. While you don’t see people, you get to know their personalities. And You have a mental image of their life Through things they write across all the boards .

I’m truly sorry for your pain, and may all prayers be with you.

Sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through. I lost my wife back in 2013 and it's not a easy journey but by the grace of God you will get though it. You never get over something like this but you do learn to move on eventually. God bless.

I don't know if the "community" knows this, but this site is a balm in tough times, to see familiar posters and read up on your favorite team is a comfort. It may seem strange but this has been the case for me. People I don't "know" have such an impact when things get rough.

GrayTide, you're one of those people. I hope you're seeing how much genuine care there is here with your online brothers and sisters and that we all realize how special this community is.

Jamie, you nailed it. For years I have tried to express my feelings for fellow members who have lost a loved one and grieving, maybe it helped in some small way. I can tell everyone on Tidefans,, whether you responded to my loss or not, that the outpouring of true sympathy and caring has helped me so much. We are all Alabama football fans, but we are caring, loving humans first and foremost. I will never forget the responses I have received on Tidefans, I love you all.
