Very touching indeed, however

the counselor made a pretty lunk-headed statement:

Auburn academic counselor Troy Smith calls him a “pied piper for kids."

didn't the pied piper steal the town's kids and drown them in the river because the town shafted him by not paying up after he got all the rats out of the town?
