Well, I’m given to understand Bud Light has fallen out of fashion, so…Miller Lite? You rich folks can’t hide money can you?
Congrats to your daughter! Many people don't realize that if your test scores are good enough and/or if you're a National Merit Scholar / award winner, Alabama can be free or close to it, even for out of state. It's a HUGE draw. Most schools don't do Merit-based scholarships anymore which is why Alabama attracts such great students in & out of state now.I’m not sure. Her scores were high enough that all of that was waived. Otherwise she wouldn’t be Bama bound.
Thanks. I am proud of her. She excels in school, works 20 hours a week in a part-time job, and does a daylight to dark pre-nursing shift at the hospital one day a week where she has earned a ton of licenses. Won’t hardly take a dime from me so I have to sneak out and steal her car every so often just so I can buy her a tank of gas.Congrats to your daughter!
So with room and board it’s like $50k I guess.Looked at it on a whim - $32k.
That guy looks like Greg Byrne...View attachment 47991
I threw a few Miller Lite cans out my window today. Doing my part for the young men!
The two leagues are now competing for the same players. It is not in the NFL’s best interests to contribute to NCAA football player salaries. If anyone should be paying NIL money it's the NFL. We are their free farm system. We provide them trained skilled players. It's time for the NFL to invest in their future.
That $32k number was for out of state students, though I suspect virtually none of them pay anywhere near that as Bama hands out academic scholarships like lollipops.Median household income in Alabama, according to census.gov, is $62,027.
My son was a National Merit Scholar, and picked BAMA. He was there 2007 to 2011. The only thing I paid for was his food. He even got a computer with his deal.Congrats to your daughter! Cost of Attendance - Afford | The University of Alabama
Affording college at the University of Alabamaafford.ua.edu
In-state yearly total cost of attendance (tuition/room/board/fees) is $34K; out of state is $57K. Tuition itself is $11K / $33K, respectively.
Brian Killer Kelly did that because he was overpaid last fiscal year by $1MM. His "matching" is nothing more than him paying back the payroll over payment.Maybe Byrne should have done it like Brian Kelly at LSU. Kelly went out down here and said he would match up to $1,000,000 in NIL donations from the fans. He must really want to keep his job.

Congrats to you (and your son)! Like I said, it's a great deal at a great place. My son was a National Merit Scholar, and picked BAMA. He was there 2007 to 2011. The only thing I paid for was his food. He even got a computer with his deal.
Considering the needs they've filled in the portal and their recruiting class ranking.... I'd say not by a long shotAre we broke?
Nope. But we might need a DOBE established. Are we broke?
