All I hear is people complaining about defense, and I’m over here watching us try to build an offense around a RB playing QB.

Milroe is the college version of Lamar Jackson. It’s that simple. Can’t read a defense to save his life.

Again…wasn’t the offense supposed to carry us this year anyway? Wasn’t Milroe a Heisman candidate?

What about Jam and Justice? What about having no running game outside of predictable Milroe runs?

What about not being able to get Ryan Williams the ball because we don’t have legit QB that can read a defense?

again you’re overlooking an offense that doesn’t help the defense out at all….

BTW…one that all you guys said was going to carry us this year. JessN even writes in his pre game SC article the offense isn’t the issue…totally ignoring the facts of the matters listed above. Believe what you want.

My man. I get that you are frustrated. I am too. I too am worried that too much of the O revolves around Milroe, as good as he is in the power run game. But truly, this offense is good enough to win any game. The defense really is bad. We are giving up at least 75% of 4th down attempts on the year. 3rd down is just as bad. It doesn’t matter the distance. 2yds, 5yds, 15yds- we are giving up unacceptable conversion numbers. The only thing mitigating it is turnovers. Hard to know if the turnovers we have generated so far are from scheme/coaching or just luck and talent. But the defense is absolutely killing this team right now. No doubt about it.

I see an offense DESIGNED to cover up his weaknesses.

Without milroe this team is cooked, donezo, clapped as the youths say. He’s still a long way from perfect but he isn’t playing defense giving up ungodly numbers to the bottom feeders of the sec. Also are you using Jackson as an insult??? He’s one of the highest paid qbs of all times….what are you talking about

Eh, not necessarily. The gameplan would change but I’m pretty confident Ty and our backs could play pretty well.

Defense is totally the problem though, not Milroe.

…but yet they sealed the game against GA on potential GW drive…and today stopped the 2 pt conversion, then have to go right back on the field and stop them from MID FIELD from moving the ball 10 yards into FG range…

This defense just doesn't pass the eye test. Gapping run lanes open, guys out of position, getting absolutely toasted in coverage all over the field, and the epidemic of horrible tackling. And that's ignoring statistical evidence. Jimmys and Joes problem? Maybe. Scheme and coaching? Almost certainly. Anything we here can do about it but complain? No.

They got stops AND they generated 4 turnovers. It looks ugly missing tackles. Looks worse when you can't get off the field to open the half and let a team milk half the quarter and score on you. Two weeks in a row now, my guy #11 has had a RB run straight through his chest at the goalline and take him 4 yards into the endzone.

BUT....for as bad as they looked, again, they were opportunistic and gave our offense the ball back. Gotta be able to do something with it
