Have we ever had a Bama player "traitor" switch to Auburn?

I was recently reading the review of Colorado's opening game, which is always against their most hated rival - Colorado State (hey, I'm a CU alum as well as a Bama alum :) ). Anyway, I was recalling going to the "Rocky Mountain Showdown" back in 2004, and one of CU's best running backs had recently transferred, sat out a year, and was playing for CSU during that game. The kid was a good RB and I don't wanna go into all the details about why he changed schools, but man did those CU fans let him have it! Every time he got the ball or they announced his name over the PA, the student section went bonkers!

Now, I'm not nearly as fanatical about the Buffs as I am about my beloved Crimson Tide, so I personally wasn't too bothered about him switching schools. But, it got me wondering if there were any cases of that kind of thing happening between Bama and Auburn? I can't recall any, but maybe someone else can.

We had a player transfer from TSDTR to UA some years ago. Seems like he was from Brewton and he was a running back. Gibson maybe?

I can't remember any going the other way, but that certainly doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

I don't know if it's ever happened with football, but we did have some cheerleader who attended both UA and AU.

The sideline reporter had the Bama cheerleader guy saying cheers for auburn.

Stupid.

One of our walkons last year, Juan Garnier, also walked on at Auburn maybe a couple of seasons ago. He then went to Ohio State before trying here.

He played in the spring game, but I no longer see him on the roster.

I posed this same question some time back and no one posted a name of any player who was guilty of this. Only the "famous" aforementioned cheerleader. If anything it's been the reverse, also mentioned before.

I remember that . Seems like it was late-Dubose :conf3:

Steve & Orange are correct about Gibson . He came over from Tiny & the barn to return a couple of kickoffs back in 95 . Wore #37 & played WR . Fast but had hands of stone .

Cornelius Griffin originally signed with the barn before coming to TitleTown out of JUCO . The only one of "ours" that I can recall would be when DE Chris Browder did the same thing in reverse for :bigear:'s .

I bet those that do (or have), left Alabama for The Alabama Polytechnic Institute are the most miserable human beings alive.

Think about it... All they hear and see in that town is ALABAMA! Plus, imagine the frustration of leaving a beautiful campus, and clubs and bars behind for... rodeos and a campus that resembles a brick yard puked onto a cow pasture!!
