There isn't a nickels worth of difference between barners and WVU'eers. The scout boards in general seem to simmer at all times.

The Rivals board is no different. There may be a rational AU board out there, but I see no reason to waste the energy to look for it...

I guess I am just "plain ole school" but I do not read or post on rival boards what purpose would it serve except to pi$$ them off? I have time for only one board and am glad it is not cluttered with a lot of rival fans trying to start something. As for AU fans, we all probably know some we like and may in fact be family, but overall they are a strange bunch who I had rather not be around in person or electronically.

It is unlikely that you will see a "good Auburn fan" hanging out and swapping insightful commentary with Tidefans' denizens. Why?

For the same reason short men can't get along with tall men. Barners are the quintessential short, bald, goofy dude at the bar. The one who got there first and thinks he has a right to all things feminine and HAWT because he got there when happy hour started.

Deep down, barners are the dudes who do not trust and can not stand us taller, better looking fellas that the babes are naturally more attracted to. The babes can't help it--it's their nature to see us and be more interested. I mean, when was the last time you saw a woman's personal ad say she was looking for short, bald and goofy? Bama is tall, dark and handsome. Auburn is short, bald and goofy. SBG for short.

Here lately, SBG's have kind of had their way. The babes haven't had much else to choose from and the SBG's have skated their way to better pickin's than they are used to. But now, the real men are back and it looks as if the low hanging fruit won't be good enough anymore.

What you are seeing from barners now is the same thing you see out of that SBG at the bar. Jumping up and down, hollering in a loud voice: "I'm relevant, too! You aren't so special! You think you're something because you're taller than me!"

The only way to respond to such behavior is to smile and say: "Size matters."
