Heard John Saunders & Doug Flutie Talking About Bama & Oklahoma Playing In BCS Title

Did nyone else hear them talk about this ? They were talking about one loss teams losing to unranked teams like Fla & Ole Miss. And not punish Bama for losing to 4th ranked Florida. My heart wants to agree with these guys, but in reality it probably won't happen. Roll Tide !!

They also went on to say that during the 2nd half they felt like Bama was the better team. I agree and thoght that after the 3rd qtr we were on the way to winning the game.

Sorry to disappoint, but I believe the point of the segment was to point out how ridiculous the BCS was.

And I am in favor for a playoff, BUT the BCS may have it right this year.
Some of you may say TX might should have been picked over OU. I agree, but that is the Big XII's fault. I feel the games tonight between us and the Big XII are the Semis of a playoff...

If Texas were playing tonight, they would be playing in the BCSCG, so the BCS didn't get it right, did it? Because the Big 12 messed up, the formulas are skewed and OU will end up getting extra points for the win tonight instead of Texas.

The BCS allowed itself to be used to corrupt the entire process, which will change the final BCS rankings, which will put the wrong teams in the game.

It failed this year in a big way...

I am not sure that Florida is better than Alabama. They played a perfect game tonight, and barely won. They were better tonight, but do you think that they could play this well again? They haven't all season.

I tip my hat to them. They deserved this win. But I am not ready to say that they are better than Bama. The game was just too close...

This OU/Texas argument has been driven into the ground, don't you think? I agree that UT should have been awarded the spot in their title game, but ultimately that conference has the right to award it to whom they want and it looks like they got it right. Do I think Texas was better than OU the day that they played? Yep. Do I think they could beat OU TODAY? No. OU and Florida are, right now, the two best teams in the land, and they are going to play.

Bama and Florida yes but Oklahoma and Mizzou isn't. If it was Texas and Oklahoma then it would be like a playoff.

Ahh, but that is our point of contention. A loss means that they have the right to play for the MNC, not us. There we agree. But the best team does not always win a game. Is Ole Miss better than Florida? I think that we are at least as good as Florida, but we lost. Sadly, we get no chance to make up for the loss and compete for a MNC, as it comes too late.

Remember this, every one of the teams in the chase for the MNC this year has a loss...

And it is. The "Every" game in the season is important does not hold water. The early games are not nearly as important as the late games with the current system.
