Players from around the country comment on JH's season . . .

"Oh man, he's one of the most poised quarterbacks in the whole country," said LSU defensive back Tre'Davious White. "Nothing seems to faze him even though he was having some trouble in the game. He wasn't fazed. You wouldn't know he threw that interception to Jamal (Adams) in the first quarter. You wouldn't even know it. Man, he's a great player."

That's a great article and I agree with all of those quoted. Jalen has had a fabulous season thus far, and the only Bama quarterback I can remember having as much poise was a guy we called "Snake".

Goodness..What will college football do, once our coaches have had the time, to fully implement our entire playbook in our offense with Jalen at the helm & has an entire playbook to run our offense with.. College Football ain't seen nothing yet..

I believe that you have the entire play book in use now, but they have been limiting Jalen to only a certain side of the field on some plays. That is to speed up his reads so he gets the ball out in time. If/when he gets better at reading the field and getting the ball out, they will open up the reads to include receivers currently ignored.

We have seen receivers wide open on plays this year who never got a glace by Jalen. Those plays get made if Jalen improves.

Jalen has had a great season and no disrespect to him, but I'm not so sure he will be the starting quarterback come August. Tua is coming in as a 5* duel threat quarterback, and has a much stronger arm than Jalen. Watch the video's of this kid, he looks just like Marcus Mariota. Jalen struggled with his passing in several games this season, and is his biggest weakness. Coach Saban has already told Tua that if he comes in and beats out Jalen, then the job is his. I'm not saying Jalen will not be our quarterback, but don't go giving him the Hemisman yet when he may not even be our starter.

Yeah, I can not wait for this battle to commence. Jalen's very cool though. I believe he will come through the Jalen vs Tuacompetition just fine. More so than BB8 did.

ROLL TIDE!

Unless Tua has ice in his veins I think Jalen is safe. Never seen someone shake off a mistake like that.

It's doubtful, but anythings possible.

Put it this way: If we have another true freshman qb come in and win the starting job, displacing a true freshman who won it the year before (hopefully guiding Bama to #17) then we've won the qb lottery's biggest payout!!!

I'm going to take anyone's opinion that doesn't think Jalen has a strong arm as a grain of salt.
You obviously did not watch every game this season if you think Jalen does not have difficulty with this passing game at times. Jalen, short armed several throws while rolling out to make a pass. I can't tell you how many times passes bounced in front of Ridley and Stewart this season on roll out passes. On a three step drop and throw, yes Jalen can throw the ball down the field. Your missing the point here, all I'm saying his we are going to have one interesting qb competition this spring/fall. Jalen was a true freshman, so why can't Tua come in and compete and win the job. It could happen.

I already have Jalen penciled in as the starting QB against FSU. Tua will have to prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that he is the better QB between spring and the season opener. If Tua is better then Jalen then Bama is better for it, but right now Tua should focus on beating Mac Jones for the #2 spot before he eyes the big chair. I mean, while he didn't start, Jalen did outlast THREE VETERAN QBs in Bateman, Cornwell and Barnett and all three are transferring out. That says a lot about how tight Hurts has the starting QB job. Saban won't guarantee the spot publicly or even privately, but the starter's job is Jalen's to lose and I don't expect him too, either. Mac .v. Tua should be a fun battle to watch. I hope Tua challenges Jalen because it will make both players better, I simply expect Jalen to win out and will be considered a major Heisman Trophy front runner to begin 2017.
