I am for helmets for the players (and the "special" students).

Face-masks are another issue.

I'm for leather helmets and leather uniforms... and take the name (and numbers) off the jersey. Do away with the face mask!

Would you really want to mess with some guy in this uniform? I think not!

I'm a traditionalist--I love the crimson helmets as they are, but I would like us to go back to white ones on the road, like we used to when Coach Bryant was around.

I wouldnt be opposed to having a "throwback game" like OU and UT have had the last couple of years. That would give those of us that have never seen the white helmets a chance to see them. However, I am opposed to anything that would be a new change to the uniform or helmet, like adding TV numbers or changing the color of the facemask to white, or replacing the numbers on the helmet with the new "A". Dont get me wrong, I think doing all of that stuff would look good, but you just cant mess with something that is so right.

when was the last time awbarn changed their unis? last i remember was when tubbs got there and he took off the shadow orange outline from around the numbers.

They added "Auburn" at the top of the jersey in the front last year after a few changes in the late '90s...

Usually a team changes the uni's for two reasons

a throw back jersey to honor a past team or to infuse the fan base with something to get excited about. the first we can do, but we have been in basically the same uniform for a while so we would have to go way back. the second...i don't think we need new uni's to get hyped up. other than that....i don't like em.

I've asked that same question to my family and we all agree that it really doesn't matter whether or not the uniforms are changed.
It's what's inside the uniforms that counts.
