HELP FOR SOME POSTERS

We have noticed several posters who seem to not know how to post a reply using a quote.

If you just copy paste the message by the person you are replying to it is hard as a root canal to decypher who is saying what.

Notice at the top of each message is a row of icons. The one at the far right (it looks like a page with an arrow point to the right) if you hold your mouse arrow on it will say "Reply w/Quote" click on that icon and it will open a message box for you to make your reply in. The message you are replying to will be in bold font and your reply will be in normal font.

Agree with you on the "It drives me clinton when people repost a long long thread and then reply with one sentence.. "

To cut the long long thread down to a meaningful sentence:

After clicking the reply button, the next screen is the "YOUR REPLY" box (with the poster's message).

The poster's name and quote message are at the top of "YOUR REPLY" box

At the point, you add your reply AND can also cut the long long reply-to message to a paragraph or just the part that you are replying to

... as I did in this reply to you.

This process is somewhat difficult to explain, but I hope this helps.

Then just delete out the parts you don't want. For instance, I didn't want to have the "c" word you used show up in my post, so I deleted him, I mean it!
 
What happened to our FAQ page? I used it quite frequently for a while there (learning how to do url's, etc.). Is it gone or hidden somewhere?

It's on the reply page as well...labeled "*UBB Code in ON."

You can quote the post and delete the part you don't want to quote. Like I did with yours. I quoted it all and then I deleted everything but your question.

Be careful not to delete the square brackets, slant bar B square brackets and the square brackets QUOTE square brackets at the end.

If I had used the actual symbols in my reply it would have messed up the post.

Well I'll be. And I've been doing it the hard way all this time. Kind of like using an abacus when you could be using one of those newfangled calkylater thingamajigs.
