I have never purchased a print from Daniel Moore and was wondering just what all is shown. I love the art, but the very large title and daniel's name is a bit garish. It takes up a considerable amount of the picture.

My question is whether the image linked is the actual print I will get in the mail or is it one of those watermark type things that websites do to ensure that credit and such goes to the artist.

The actual print does not have "Maximum Block" at the top or "Daniel Moore" at the bottom.

The actual print will have "Maximum Block" printed in small script print centered at the bottom on the white border. Daniel Moore autographs all of his prints in pencil to the far righthand side on the white border.

He is offering an autographed edition of the print that will be signed by Cody, McClain, Arenas and Deaderick that is $100 more than the regular edition print. Each of those players will autograph the print in pencil across the bottom of the print on the white border.

I've never seen anything in a Daniel Moore print that could be considered "garish." :)

I too have never seen a Daniel Moore print that was garish.

This has been posted before on this board but I'll do it again, DM is also over the next year going to produce 4 more prints that will make up a series called "The Greatest Series Ever". Other Paintings will be 2. National Championship 3. SEC Championship 4. Ala vs Auburn and 5. Heisman Commemorative. If you order them as a suite you can get the same number on each print. I have ordered mine as I have never been disappointed with a DM print.

I still think "Rocky Block" was a much better title!!!
Maximum Block just reminds me of that crappy movie Maximum Overdrive way back when. Just gay sounding IMO. "Rocky Block" would have been so much better!

This may sound ultra picky, but with such excellent detail applied to this print, why does the kid in the student section have on a 22 jersey that looks like it was drawn by a beginning artist?

The eyes are supposed to be drawn to the players, and not the background, I guess. That would explain the 'fuzziness' of the crowd.

Thanks for the information. I love the actual painting portion I just wanted to be sure that a good portion of the print was not going to be taken up by text.

Thanks again,
C

I think you are right.

The background of all his prints have always been fuzzy or blurred. As you said, the players are the focal point.

I've already got the blow out. Soon I've have max block and then I've got the national title print and sec title print already reserved. Those 4 should fill up my walls quite nicely.

That CR Sullins is not kin to former Bama LB John Sullins, is he? Anyone know for sure?

Pretty awesome painting.

IMO, given the fact that all the other background characters are for the most part completely unrecognizable, I would say that this is Mr. Moores subtle way of paying homage to Ingram.
