That game was quite a roller coaster ride. I will never forget the elation when Shaun scored that TD in OT, and how quickly my emotions swung in the other direction when Kemp missed the PAT. I really thought we had let Florida off the hook. By the time Kemp made the second try I was drained. Usually, my wife could not care less about football, but even she was getting into that game.

It was so smooth because his TE Shawn Draper (a former tackle) grabbed his man in the chest and drove him 20 yards down the field. One of the best blocks I've ever seen. I was a 17 year old kid at the time and I remember screaming at the top of my lungs watching Drape drive that kid into the ground. So much so, that I didn't pay attention to Shaun's run until I saw the replay

that run by alexander in OT is still one of the smoothest runs i've ever seen

One of my favorite Bama games of all time. It was basically a game where the team that had the ball last was going to win. Thing is, Kemp very nearly missed the makeup try as well. An extremely poised performance by Andrew Zow in this game- easily his finest moment as QB at the capstone.

Wow, memories! I thought we were going to get hammered that day and went ahead and sealed my blacktop driveway that afternoon during the game. My wife, who is a UT grad but absolutely hates FL (for obvious reasons) came out and told me Bama was about to beat FL in OT. I had to stand at the window outside and look in at the whole OT on TV b/c I was covered in blacktop sealer. I wished afterward I'd watched the whole thing.
