I clobbered a coyote on a deserted stretch of I-80 last Winter near Des Moines, IA.

A neighbor of mine had those deer whistles mounted on his truck. I guess the deer couldn't hear because it got hit anyway.I have those deer wistles mounted on the front bumper of my car, I bought them at Autozone. My prior job I would drive to work at 6 am and in the winter it was still dark and on my way to work I would drive on the highway and there would be deer all over. I am lucky that I live closer than my prior job and I start later. I hit one back in 1990 with a Nissan Sentra and it damaged my driver side fender and I couldn't hardly open my driver side door. When I stopped, the deer ran away like nothing even happened. That was scary.

I'm gonna go out on a limb & predict that a camel does a *lot* more damage to a car moving @ road speed than a deer (which does a lot of damage itself). And I'm not seeing much of any way for that "body thru the windshield" part to wind up good...We don't have that problem here in Saudi. People do, however, routinely hit camels. Most of the time, they are just standing in the middle of the highway and the body comes right thru the windshield.
