Hope he gets his act together.
Hope he gets his act together.
I'm glad he recognized his problem and took action to conquer it. Hopefully he'll be successful; then find his way back to LSU and fulfill the rich athletic potential he's blessed with.
That was my first thought.why did i suddenly just think about Bob Sagat's scene in Half-Baked?
maybe it is not just weed that is his problem?
You may be right! Only Tyran can show differently. I just have a hard time understanding how a rehab center is going to do so much more, my point is (if the reports are true) he failed 7 drug test? Does anyone think Les discussed the ramifications of those actions EACH time? Did his parents get involved at all? He messed up a huge opportunity, & like you I have seen a lot of players go in just to get back on, Only time will tell.I guess I'm going to be the bad guy here and say often rehab is just an attempt to negate bad press or avoid getting in trouble. For instance, he goes to rehab, is back with LSU next year and we all act like he never did anything wrong. I'm not saying that will happen, but stuff like that does.
I hope he takes rehab seriously, but if he does he won't be returning to the scene of the crime either. Rehab should not be a way to avoid consequences, it should only be a way to try and overcome your problems, not atone for your wrongdoings.
I understand and somewhat share your cynicism. Hopefully (even if this is just doing what he has to do) this will at least be one instance of another set of people telling him what he needs to hear.I guess I'm going to be the bad guy here and say often rehab is just an attempt to negate bad press or avoid getting in trouble. I read an article a few days ago that he would not be back at LSU period to play football, that he was dismissed permanantly. Per the AD at LSU.I guess I'm going to be the bad guy here and say often rehab is just an attempt to negate bad press or avoid getting in trouble. As I just posted in the parallel thread, LSU has a school-wide policy of permanent suspension from athletic teams for a third failed drug test. They're not going to change it for Mathieu...I'm glad he recognized his problem and took action to conquer it. Hopefully he'll be successful; then find his way back to LSU and fulfill the rich athletic potential he's blessed with.
