Reading the local paper here in Florida and their boasting about their group of kids coming in....saying they were really happy with certain players...lineman mostly...no special note about Manson...just listed him in the list...so Manson, whatever the coach said to you....your now just another player...congrats...

Bama Mag and Bama Fans boards were filled with posts about Manson and his possible commitment to Bama. I went to Gator boards to read their thoughts and there was hardly any mention of him in the last couple of months. He is now most likely just a special teams player. I wish him the best though.

Maybe Manson went to Florida for the meatballs

Did Manson grow up in Tuscaloosa? It's just that I've always wondered how a kid who would have to have always been a fan of one team deals with the emotional side of playing for a rival. I live down in south Florida and the Gator attitude is a weird thing for ME to handle. To me, their glory days only reach back to the hire of Spurrier, yet you'd think they have this long lived dynasty. In other words their memory banks before his arrival have all been purged. It's hard to take when you grew up pulling for a team with a dynasty legacy based in fact, especially when said team has been experiencing such an excruciating trial by fire lately. I can't imagine what that would be like if you actually have to play for these people.

I've heard of a lot of players who found out pretty fast that the same coach who was kissing your a#$ during recruiting was kicking it as soon as you signed.

Get used to it Marcus.

Maybe the thought process was to get Jackson and Manson away from Alabama so neither in state school could have them. If they are on your bench, they are not playing for any other team in the SEC.

Yes,it could be so,and would not be the first time that has been practiced.

If they didn't think these players would contribute in a good way, I don't see them waisting a scholarship for them and as far as I'm concerned ( For Bama ) mm is "OLD" news....
