The world series is over? lol... If you blinked, you missed it. From an outsiders point of view, this was one of the most boring world series in my recent memory. Congrats to the red sox and all, but rockies never had a chance.

I didn't even know the world series had started... (actually I did)

MLB -- what a total waste of valuable air time!

The Office, House MD, Oprah (would have attracted more viewers)

I can't stand baseball, so boring...so few viewers, such a waste!

LOL :)

I like the Boston vs New York rivalry, I can stomach about 5 minutes of baseball when they play each other...

Thank goodness all this nonsense is over. I was sorta hoping for a game 5 though so Monday Night Football could blast it in the ratings.

Well I enjoyed watching the World Series. That was one great Red Sox team and the Rockies never stood a chance. The NL has become a joke and can't even compare to the AL. They may as well be minor league ball at this point.

Actually, if they had played real baseball for all 7 games - no DH - the Rockies would have had a shot. The DH distorts the game and gives AL teams a huge edge. Either every team should use it, or none...

I became a Red Sox fam when I was nine in 1986. I guess since they were in the World Series that year and my popa was wanting them to win and at that age you pretty much stick with what your grandfather wants. My father had just passed away and popa was bigger than life to me. Even though he was not a Sox fan I got so wrapped up in the Sox that year that I have just stuck with them through thick and thin. Just like my Crimson Tide have to stick with them through the rough times. right now is a great time to be from Alabma and root for the Red Sox. Now it's time to but my mojo on the Tide and help them beat LSwho!!!!!!!

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!
GO SOX!!!!!!

I know this wasn't directed to me, but I'll tell you my reasons for rooting for Boston....

FoxSports used to always show college baseball games. A majority of the games that were broadcast had Georgia Tech playing various other teams. On that team, Nomar Garciaparra and Jason Varitek both played. Both stood out, and became my "favorite" players. After Nomar was drafted by Boston in 1994, I started following the Red Sox. I wanted to be different and root for someone outside of the Braves (like everyone else in my small Mississippi town). Boston then traded for Varitek a few years later, and both of my "favorites" were back together again. And the rest is history. I stuck by the team through all of the losing seasons and failed attempts in the playoffs. All of the heartbreak paid off in 2004, and again this year. I have had the privilege of seeing Boston play their fiercest rival (the Yankees) in Yankee Stadium back in 2004. My wife and I are scheduled to go and visit Boston this upcoming summer, and to catch a Boston home game.

RTR!! and Go Sox!!
