Great photos.. Thank you!
I was using my D300 with all of my personal settings, along with my dad's D300 and i didn't take the time to go in and change his settings, i think he may have his image on vivid or something higher, they looked like my other shots until i opened them in photoshop and they did look a bit strong. Either way the color does appear a tad bit off huh?Nice shots, man. Love that field-level shot! Did you do anything to these photos or are these straight exposures?
I've had to fight toe and nail, do so many grip and grins, put myself in so much debt, but i've finally made it and i enjoyed every second of it.Alex, I'd kill for your access level to the field.
I bet. I'm still crossing my fingers that someone will see me shooting high school games and be like, "Hey... can you help me shoot the home game tomorrow."I've had to fight toe and nail, do so many grip and grins, put myself in so much debt, but i've finally made it and i enjoyed every second of it.
Not like i'm any kind of professional but build up your portfolio make a couple copies and harass all the dailys and weeklys in west Alabama, one of them might buckle and give you a job.I bet. A man can dream.![]()
I've considered that... especially with the Northport Gazette since I got a chance to talk with the Sports Editor several times doing County High games. They have a photographer they use, but it'd be nice if they wanted another that would work dirt cheap. Not like i'm any kind of professional but build up your portfolio make a couple copies and harass all the dailys and weeklys in west Alabama, one of them might buckle and give you a job.![]()
I do, as a matter of fact.I've considered that... especially with the Northport Gazette since I got a chance to talk with the Sports Editor several times doing County High games. They have a photographer they use, but it'd be nice if they wanted another that would work dirt cheap.
Do you shoot for the CW?
Thanks for the tip.I do, as a matter of fact.
Talk to the photo editor at the Northport Gazette and see if they would be willing to pay you free lance during high school football season and basketball season, would get your work published and some ever so valuable experience.
It's worth it - you have a great eye. Keep up the good work, and when you are making your acceptance speeches, be sure to mention TideFans.com...I've had to fight toe and nail, do so many grip and grins, put myself in so much debt, but i've finally made it and i enjoyed every second of it.
