Yeah, I do because attendance smack is weak when "y'all" are a couple hours away from New Orleans and we're 1800 miles away.

Like I said, outside of you guys and USC, none of the other schools participating in BCS games have finished selling out of their allotments. So it's a widespread problem, not just a "non-BCS Utah" thing. Last reports have Ohio St., Penn St. and Utah all struggling to sell the last of their tickets. Cincinatti and Virgina Tech are apparently struggling even worse with their ticket sales. The secondary market for the NC game is even struggling and that's with Florida playing in their home state!

We always hear how rabid and dedicated you Bama fans are, so put your money where your mouth is. A trip to NOLA is super cheap for you guys (game ticket included). It's more pitiful that there's a particular group of Bama fans who feel so disappointed with their Sugar Bowl matchup that they'd rather stay home and watch the game, when they could hop in the car and be at the game within half a workday. It's not so much the availability of tickets which confuses me, but it seems like some of you guys were more excited to see Nick Saban's first scrimmage than you are to see your team back in a BCS game. Just my opinion.
Thanks for visiting. You have made the enjoyment I will receive from Alabama dusting Utah so much greater than it was to originally be.

If you like, I'll split the ticket price for one of your buddies that can't afford it. PM me with his info.

Have a great day.

Sounds like I struck a nerve. Excuse me while I wipe the tear from my eye.

First and foremost, we're not talking about Ohio State, Penn State, and Texas. We're talking about Utah. I guarantee you those teams will have a hell of a lot more fans at their games than Utah will, regardless of how far they have to travel. Distance to be traveled is weak sauce when you're talking about Bama fans. Go find out how many fans we sent to Pasadena in 2000 for a regular season game with UCLA. And I bought my ticket to that one from the Bruin ticket office.
i think we filled up hawaii's stadium pretty good too :)

Speaking of 'dusting'....better pack some pledge wipes so you can dust off your crow before you take it to the dinner table.

How would Utah's ticket office know how many tickets Bama fans have picked up?They didn't ask me if I was a Bama fan when I ordered my 2 tix.
Funny, when I purchased my 4 tickets through the utes office, I asked them specifically if Afakasi had purchased his tickets, and they told me no.
Then they told me that you Bama fans sure are serious about your football!

Let's see....Utah fans ..... and moan about the BCS and their lack of respect yadda, yadda, yadda. The population of the metropolitan area of Salt Lake City is over a million, the Utes are 12-0, their playing in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, and they can't sell 17,500 tickets because it's too far.

Apparently they don't take their football very seriously in Utah. Sounds like their fans should "man-up" like the football team.

You make the comment that the economy is the reason you can't sell your tickets but Utah has the best economic conditions in the country with an unemployment rate of just 3.7%.
Face it, you guys are way outnumbered. And why is boise doing so much better at selling their tickets compared to you guys when they have a very long travel also?

"Douche nozzle?"... Is that the best you got Ute? Douche rocket is much funnier. Try that one next time.

So let me make sure I got this straight...You came over here begging us to buy up your ticket allotment because Utah fans can't afford them. I generously offer to split the price of a ticket with a friend of yours so you would have some company on your transcontinental journey to New Orleans. So in response, you proceed to act like a kindergartner and instead of taking me up on my offer, try to insult and disparage me on some other board.

You're a class act bro. Hopefully you have offspring because the world needs more of you.

Have a great day.

The game is a complete one way street when it comes to fans. Its a pity actually because it sort of takes the lustre off of the Sugar Bowl. When the opposition can't sell their tickets it puts all of the pressure on the other team. Luckily Bama are up to the task.

And I am definately not buying the whole "sniff, sniff" economy bit. I bought my tickets last night (club level, behind the Utah bench, for $268, unbelievable price for those seats). I am flying from London to Houston and then driving to New Orleans. No sacrafice at all. Definately not too much to ask.

Can't wait.

Since I live in Kansas I would figure they wouldn't place me or anyone else that lives outside of the Southeastern U.S. as a Bama fan.I know there are 8 of us here in Kansas coming to New Orleans to cheer on the Tide. All of them i've spoke to ordered from the Utah site.
its probably a pretty safe assumption that if the area code aint 385, 435, or 801 there's a pretty good chance its a bama fan

Utah pre-sold the majority of its allotted 17,500 tickets for the Sugar Bowl against No. 4 Alabama. The school has about 4,300 tickets available, priced at $135. According to Zach Lassiter, Utah's assistant athletic director in charge of the ticket office, the school has "sold about 3,000 [tickets], and I'd say about 80 percent of those were to Alabama fans." Lassiter said.

They just did not ask you.

I can imagine Mrs. Stevens at the ticket office at Utah.

Mrs. Stevens: Hello, Utah Ticket office how can I help you.

Tide Fan: Ya'll got any tickets left out thar?

I believe Utah has a good grasp on who is buying those tickets as well as we do.

When it became official that we would play Utah in the Sugar Bowl, I got a call from a friend of mine that went to BYU. He told me Utah fans would remind me alot of Auburn fans. I asked how so. He told me the chip on their shoulder would look very familiar. Was he correct? Hmmm.

Alabama fans need not apologize for preferring to see Oklahoma,USC,Penn State,Texas, or our 2nd string, on the other side of the field instead of Utah. For one thing, the conversation is very different(and enjoyable) with fans that have "been there, done that" than it is with fans that constantly beg for approval/acknowledgement that they "belong." When you come over, just talk football.

P.S. If you aren't comfortable talking football, we understand. Just ask questions. We'll teach you all about it. ;)
