Does anyone know much about Adam Thrash 6-4 215.. I guess it is hard to know about him, being from Arkansas. I'm not bashing SP, He just ain't getting the job done... in the big games.

well, we sure don't want to burn a redshirt with only 3 games left....Bamaalfa said:Does anyone know much about Adam Thrash 6-4 215.. I guess it is hard to know about him, being from Arkansas. I'm not bashing SP, He just ain't getting the job done... in the big games.

He doesn't get alot of penalties and mis-handeled snaps from center and he does know where the ball is suppose to go when he gets it.Albertville Guy said:where the trouble will really start is if Spencer gets hurt.
Lets not bash Spencer, he might not be getting it done, but hes about all we have left. A.J. Milwee might just have to fill in his shoes should he go down.
A.J. is a tough young man, a walk on from Boaz. :BigA:
Heh. But Spencer looks "sharp" in practice. And we know how well that translates to game day.if you get to go a game, just watch the QB's warming up. you can tell he is inferior to the others. really, you can tell.

Thanks for the info. Stats on Adam Thrash are hard to find. I remember reading that he held a state record in passing. I don't know which record or which year. I have searched the Arkansas State High School sites and everywhere else on the internet and I just can't locate the record.mlh said:Well, it took a little research but here's what I found on Thrash...
Jr year -- 3,973 yards, 48 TDs, 64% comp ratio
Sr year -- 3,184 yards, 39 TDs, 67% comp ratio, 3A state champs (Arkansas)
He got some interest from Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and a few others but expressed his desire to go to Bama, even as a walk-on if necessary. I think that's when everyone else backed off.
I haven't seen him in practice or warming up before games, but I'm surprised he isn't getting more attention based on what he did in HS. I'm sure he got a chance to show what he could do once Brodie got hurt and he's still 3rd on the depth chart behind Pennington and an injured Guillon, for whatever that's worth.
I'm just looking for answers, that is all that I'm trying to do... What is the deal with M.G.??? I know that the report was a stiff back, but there is just something not right with that picture.. Don't you guys agree ??BamaFan in Germantown said:I give up, I don't undersatnd why all the bashing of the payers, I'm ot of here, I had rather watch the grass grow as read the biased posts from folks who want nothing more than to stir up trouble. If you bashers want to coach, go back to school, get your degree, and get into coaching.

Well, his time on the forty is listed as 4.8. If Nutt is looking for athletic QBs who can run as well as they pass then Thrash would not be an option. He's a pocket passer, not a runner...a la Matt Jones. I have no idea. Just a thought.hawgtide said:For some reason Arkansans who saw Thrash play in high school, were not high on him as a quarterback, even though he set records. Don't think it was because he let it be known he wasn't interest in going to Arkansas either. Several called him a thrower rather than a passer, wihch usually means high velocity and little touch.
No touch with a 67% completion ratio? Maybe his receivers had horny hands? Sounds like Adam is on the eve of greatness.hawgtide said:For some reason Arkansans who saw Thrash play in high school, were not high on him as a quarterback, even though he set records.
