I'd be willing to wager we had a lot more than the announced 90,000 plus in 2007. There people everywhere in the stadium not in seats, the ramps full. I will never forget that day.
People were getting turned away as well.I'd be willing to wager we had a lot more than the announced 90,000 plus in 2007. There people everywhere in the stadium not in seats, the ramps full. I will never forget that day.
That's what I thought. I don't try to disagree with Selma on many things that are based on cfb history, but I could've sworn I heard that Oklahoma winning the sugar bowl against us and tosu winning against us made them the only teams to win in all big game bowls. But adding the peach and cotton bowl may make him right so I don't know which one we are going off of.They did. We didn't win a BCS/CFP/NY6 bowl until the 2009 season. Lost the 2000 Orange Bowl, lost the 2009 Sugar Bowl, won the 2010 BCSCG, 2012 BCSCG, 2013 BCSCG game, lost the 2014 Sugar Bowl, lost the 2015 Sugar Bowl, won the 2015 Cotton Bowl, won the 2016 CFPCG.
I really would not worry about Ohio St bragging about having the all time spring record. Big deal- they have over 55,000 undergraduate students and are in a state with 2 and 1/2 to 3 times the population. They are also the only major program in that god-for saken state. Let's worry about the important stuff- like winning another title.
I agree completely! If you were there then you're not one of the spoiled ones. But a lot of fans are.I know I'm not spoiled and my wife mostly goes for the atmosphere and for the Million Dollar Band. I think I can safely say that the 75K of more that were in attendance are not spoiled.
We'll be alright.I'd make two pertinent points in response to that.
A: We, as in the fans are limited in our participation. It doesn't matter how much we focus, we're not going to score any touchdowns.
B: That means the only way we can impact winning another title is with our support. And yes, A-Day is a big part of that. Nick Saban said it several times, including yesterday. Our support, showing up, showing enthusiasm, setting the record, etc... that did have an impact.
I already covered those things but I suppose they are worth reiterating. We shouldn't worry so much about what players on the field do because those things we truly can't make a difference in. We're just here to support the team.
I think I get your point, Alabama fans support the team well, that's not changing anytime soon. We'll be alright.
