How did Junior day go?

I would say it went well...

we had a lot of talent there and heard several say they were impressed and had Bama at least even with several other schools....

one thing I noticed is that there were a lot of LBs (who could play FB) and OL......three positions that we'll be looking hard at next year

we'll start talking some more specifics soon.....Glover, I'd say, has Bama, MSU, OM as a top 3

I was told there were about 150 juniors that showed up. Missing was QB recruits Smelly and Tebow but both have scheduled visits.

Junior Day is where the top junior prospects in the country are invited to campus to take a tour of the facilities and the school itself. They usually have guest speakers and the coaches go into great detail about the recruiting process and what to expect over the next year. It basically gives the coaches and players a chance to get acquainted with one another in person and the recruits a chance to tour a school they might be interested in.

Mobile Tight End Visits Alabama for Junior Day
The Alabama coaching staff looks to reload at the tight end position in the 2006 class. One possibility is Preston Dial from UMS-Wright. Wright was in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's Junior Day.

"It was pretty good. It's wild to see 175 prospects in attendance, and only knowing that 24-25 guys will receive a scholarship offer," said Dial.

The Alabama coaching staff made a strong impression with the Mobile native.
