So, I was lifting this morning in the gym. We have a decent group of SEC homers at our club that pretty well outnumber the UT and A&M fans (soon to be SEC homers). Anyway, the LSU fans got on a Tiger Bait firestorm with this poor Aubie that had the nerve to wear his Aubie shirt today. The Aubie kinda got offended and I really wanted to jump in and help the poor dude out with some trash talk about LSU's dope smoking football players but I figure I am up next and I love seeing an Aubie get upset.... I told the guy as we were leaving that you probably should steer clear of Death Valley if that bothered you and he said he has never considered going to BR for a game, even when he was at Auburn.
As I drove into work afterwards, I wondered how we treated opposing fans in public, especially at BDS. We really don't have a name like Tiger Bait or Gator Bait to drop on an opposing fan as they walk by. I guess there is Roll Tide, but that is pretty much a greeting amongst ourselves. Then, what is our reputation towards other fans when they come to our place? Are they nervous? Are the Vols that actually make it to T-town for the game tomorrow going to worry about our fans dogging them out (and not by some drunk fraternity clown)? LSU, Georgia, and the Swamp have these horror stories of the home team fans stricking fear in any opposing fans that dare to show up just by being loud and obnoxious. I can actually speak from experience about the Corn Dogs place and the Swamp? They do get loud and carried away. What are ya'lls thoughts on our reputation around the SEC?
